All that Jolly would do would be to raise an eyebrow and Violet looked a little confused... Yes, it was rather Captain Obvious there and he felt like Josiah was sort of in a new thing here. As he said earlier he didn't want to get these two's lives in danger, but now it was kind of unavoidable. Finding his serious back, they'd both hear him. Jolly would quickly agree with him, giving him a nod. He didn't mind the changes in color and clothes at all if it was just to help them escape the place with minimum difficulties. But it wouldn't be exactly the same for Violet... well she thought a little differently, remembering something. At that she'd look up at Jolly with a questionned look.
Violet: Wait... didn't you say we wouldn't follow that law earlier?
The pegasus looked down at her, hearing the question. Obviously she'd have to be enlightened on this one rather quickly since they didn't have much time to lose.
Jolly: It's only temporary. It's to avoid being seen by any of them. Since we need to leave the town we won't want them to stop us. Don't worry about it, let's just get out.
He'd explain before he'd go forth now, following Josiah to where he was going. Jolly wondered why he opened and closed the door so quickly. His only assumption was that at the front was too risky, meaning probably some of them were in sight from the front door. Anyway, he probably knew better than them how to get out without getting seen. Violet would follow as well, her question answered and satisfied enough with it. As long as it was temporary, she didn't mind either.
They'd get out first when Josiah waved to them and would wait for the next move... well, would wait so they could follow him again. Once things clear and given permission to go again, they would also come out, only they would use the door instead of leaping over like he did. Violet being behind would close the door with her magic just out of habit. While waiting for what was next, Jolly would take a quick look around with his eyes, just being on his guards. That was before he could hear Josiah mutter something. What exactly he didn't hear well enough to know, but wondered anyway.
Jolly: Is everything fine?

Josiah would eventually arrive at the end of the hallway, not going any further. He'd hide behind a garbage bin, looking over just barely to see what was going on in the public place... he didn't see much ponies trotting about, only a few early birds. And most importantly, no guards in sight. From here he could see the boutique as well... only problem was that it was in the wide open, at the very center of the plaza. No way simply sneaking their way in... they'll have to get there by walking straight up there.
However, they still had time, technically. Those guards weren't equipped with any type of radios, after all. They relied solely on eyesight and vocal, meaning they wouldn't realize their missing right away. What was important right now was to avoid having too many eye witnesses were the villagers get interrogated soon after.
Distracted with trying to find a safe way out there, he'd eventually process Jolly's question.
Josiah: What?... Oh, yeah, yeah, just fine... really. Anyway... seems like that boutique out there will lead us in the open... Just follow me and keep it natural. No running, no looking around... we're just... three regular ponies... taking a stroll on an early morning, okay?
And with that they'd be off... Josiah would keep walking in a straight line... waiting for the two others. They'd eventually follow as well. He'd glance around, barely doing so with a quick movement of his eyes.
Josiah: So far so good...
He'd mutter, half way there. Eventually all three of them would reach the boutique, nopony even caring about them, it seemed.
Josiah: Whew! Okay... now.
He'd reach for the door knob, only for having it locked. He'd look up and see the them small sign reading "closed for the day" At that he'd let out an annoyed sigh.
Josiah: Sure, of course.
Quickly he'd open one of his pouch and pull out what seemed to be a set of small hooks, metal pins as well as jigglers. He'd take a quick look at the keylock and select his equipment. And with real sleight of hooves, he'd begin to work his magic, forcing the lock open with barely any efforts as a satisfying "click" let itself heard.
Josiah: Heh, piece of cake.
Putting away of the equipment, he'd then open the door, stepping inside and wait for the two others to come in, closing the door behind them. Once inside, Josiah would take a look around... the first thing that struck him was just how much... pink there was.
Josiah: Well that's some... interesting decor.
There was also many ponyquin, each and single one of them with dresses and outfits which were beyond well-made with flashy colors... yet, nothing too tacky. However, all of those were stacked in the back... up in the front were more religious dresses, plain, simple colors and obviously not very revealing. Seems like whoever was in charge had to change his or her line of product for the new customers.
Josiah: Right... so what we need now is some cloths for the filly... hopefully there's something her si-
Before he could finish his sentence, however, Josiah was greeted to with bucket thrown from... somewhere... right to the side of his head, hitting him hard that that as it bounced away. The sand pony would grip his head at the impact point.
Josiah: OW! What the fu... OOF!
Then his with a broom levitated by magic right in the stomach. Gripping his stomach now, he'd turn around and try to take a look around whoever did this... and sure enough there she was... this white unicorn with purple mane, blue eyes... and still with a mud mask, however and partially wearing what seemed to be a bath robe.
???: Out! OUT OF MY BOUTIQUE YOU VILE RUFFIANS!
Josiah would get his once again by the broom, doing his best at blocking and grabbing the object.
Josiah: Ugh... lady! Calm the hell down, we're just trying to- UGH!
Hit this time hit from behind by a roll of cloth. And she'd keep at it, trying to bring the intruder down. Sure, Josiah could shut her beak easily enough... but he didn't find hitting mares to be a reasonable thing to do.
Josiah would look at Jolly.
Josiah: DO SOMETH-OOF!

At Josiah's answer, Jolly would shrug it off once he'd get moving. Listening to his instructions, him and the filly would begin to follow him while looking like normal ponies minding their own things. While looking in front of him he could see what their destination was and recognized the place too well. One of the places well known in this place for its fashion clothes. A mare doing business in this with quite the talent at that. With that he could see how they'd get help and he'd smirk some. It was indeed a good idea!
Only thing was that when they reached the place, as Josiah would try to open... well it wouldn't. The door was locked. At that Jolly's smile faded as he'd let out a light sigh. What would they do now?... Oh.... Oh right. He was with a pony that learned to escape places, travel and explore the world. Surely he'd open that door, but...
Jolly: I don't know if it's such a good idea...
He'd whisper to him, feeling conscerned. They would look like thieves if they were to be seen and... there must be a reason as to why it was locked. Maybe it was just not opened yet? Jolly couldn't tell. It's not like he was buying clothes all the time... if any at all. But anyway... at the same time they had to get some of those clothes.
It seemed that Josiah managed to unlock the door and they would all follow him inside. It's not like he had seen the inside of the place much, though. Both him and Violet would look around with their eyes, just taking notice of the look this boutique had. They would notice the mannequins that were in the back and others at the front. They could easily tell why the ones at the front were placed as such. Knowing a little how the mare taking care of this place liked fashion... he had this feeling doing all of these and with the new law that just took place that she wouldn't be so pleased. Anyway, was she even here?
That question would be answered after Josiah tried to speak and was abruptly interrupted by a bucket to the face. Both him and Violet jumped in surprise at the sudden attack, not expecting him, both also feeling for the hit the poor adventurer just took. Immediately after that he would look up at where it came from. He'd see her approach, this time using a broom to take on Josiah. Ah so she was indeed here... and they were intruding, it was true. Yet they had a motive for this.
Then another hit on the adventurer pony who tried to talk to her, but she wouldn't listen and wouldn't even let him finish. It's at his request that Jolly would come and step in. He'd step just a little closer, sure of himself.
Jolly: Rarity, please wait! You have to listen to us, it's urgent! We came seeking your help!

Sure, Josiah was patient. But being patient about getting hit nonstop by a crazy mare? That he wasn't too sure about. If anything he just felt like he was running out of it. And if things kept going like that, he'd be taking action. Either knock her out or something else... but letting himself beaten by a broom was not one of those options, that was for certain. He didn't like hitting mares but at some point a line had to be drawn somewhere, after all.
It's only when he was about to pass to action that Jolly spoke... apparently taking the mare's attention as the bludgeoning stopped. Josiah would open an eye as his forelegs would drop slowly from his protective stance, daring to look up at her. With that mud mask of hers, she was almost scary to look at, to be honest.
Rarity would let go of her magic, letting fall of the various times she took hold of. Her eyes would narrow as she'd look at all of them... noticing the filly as well. She knew better than to judge on first impressions. Something she had learned a while back for certain with her friends and numerous adventures. She'd huff as she'd throw her chin up.
Rarity: Well! It certainly an odd way to ask for help, isn't it? Breaking into my boutique like that... such nerves!
She would then look back at them one last time.
Rarity: You three better have a good reason for all this! I demand explanations! ... Oh... but before you do... allow me to... oh my. Make myself more presentable, would you? Take a seat, I won't be long... But don't. make. a. MOVE!
She'd say, glaring at them with a look probably solid enough to split mountains. At that Josiah would simply readjust the collar of his shirt, feeling a bit uneasy. He'd simply nod as his gaze would flee to the left. At that, the alabaster mare would head back up... only taking a moment before coming back down, make up done and coiffure carefully made. She'd stand in front of them and eye them from head to hooves, smiling at the filly, however.
Rarity: Yes... even if breaking into my store on a closed day isn't quite the best of first impressions... I believe I still feel keen enough this morning to help you two in your time of... crisis.
She'd look at Josiah... as well as his clothing and attire, obviously looking disdainful.
Rarity: If it's for mister's outfit right here however, I would understand the breaking in... it is quite um... how shall I say... rustique?... and... dirty and... *sniff sniff* eww, smelly as well!
At this Josiah would let out a frustrated huff from his nostrils, narrowing his eyes. Yeah... fashion wasn't much of a concern for him... especially when ran after from all around the globe.

Sure, Josiah might have had all of that... but Rarity could maybe still be deceived that they didn't come here for that and with what was happening, Jolly didn't want to really lose too much time here. Not because he didn't like Rarity, but because they couldn't stay in this village any longer with the recent events. While she was gone for a few moments, both him and Violet stood there as she asked them all not to move. He didn't want to have her enraged a second time... they had no time for that. So once she was back and asking them he'd go and answer Rarity's questions.
Jolly: Well... although this might be true, this isn't for him that we're here. I think you know what happened this morning, right?
He'd ask her, then would take a look around at the mannequins that were placed at the front of the boutique. Then he'd come back to her.
Jolly: It's nothing new if I say that things are changing here... but we need you to help us have clothes for Violet here. Thing is...
He'd take a pause at this moment, reminding himself of what actually just happened, giving him a worried look as well as saddened by those events. Looking for a second he'd come back to her.
Jolly: We have to flee the town. If we're caught by the guards, then who knows what will happen to us? Apparently age and gender doesn't matter... Let's say that our lives are at risk at the moment. Our reason for breaking in is more than a smelly one, trust me. Besides... I'm fairly certain that you're against this law they put this morning. Forcing the mares and fillies to hide their cutie marks and wear a flat and black mane. Knowing you by your reputation, I'm sure this isn't something you're looking up to.
That's what he had to tell her mostly. He was certain she would undertand. He highly doubted she would go against their requests. With the information he knew about her, she wasn't the type to just go and look the same as all the other mares in the town. And in all of this, Violet had her own word to add to all of this. She'd step forward some, look up at the white mare who was listening to them. Watching her with her green eyes, taking a worried look as well, which was genuine.
Violet: Please? It's really important... two guards wanted to enter our house and look around for him.
She'd say pointing at Josiah.
Violet: But he's not bad. Those guards weren't being so nice as well... they threatened to take the door down and were being really unpleasant.
Jolly looked at her while she spoke out. That was just a few more details to add to their story. The pegasus would look again at Rarity.
Jolly: We need to go to Canterlot. Josiah needs to meet the princesses and I might be able to talk to them about what's happening here... and maybe by any chance have a new place to live at temporarily as well. So we're just asking for a few clothes to help us go out of the village unnoticed.

Rarity would listen as they spoke, Josiah busy attending to his own bruises as he'd rub the hit spots. Although she was no element of honesty like somepony else she knew, she could tell this pony was being honest. She could see the urgency in his eyes, as well as the pleading. His expression, body language. Everything seemed to be pointing out toward someone who desperately needed some of her own expertise to deal with a really critical situation.
Rarity: Yes... well this is one of the main reasons I've closed boutique... I needed to... erm... how shall I say... re-think my already perfect and wonderful whole line of work!... and even wonder if I shouldn't just move out of Ponyville and perhaps head for a more pleasant location. Where these... bigots haven't set their dirty hooves yet.
She'd say, head sagging down as her ears flopped.
Rarity: Me and little sister Sweetie Bell are rather short on bits these days, I'm afraid... my fabulous dresses and outfits aren't to their tastes, making business rather difficult... we're in a pinch, so to speak.
She'd then look at the both of them, exchanging glares. Her face would go from sad to determined, stomping her hoof on the floor.
Rarity: And that's why we have to speak to the princesses as well! She'll know what to do for certain! So I shall aid and join you as well!
Josiah was about to open his mouth but Rarity would glare daggers at him... which would be more than enough to shut his beak. The mare would then look down at the small filly.
Rarity: Yes... I will take care of dressing her to their standards... I'm getting used to it by now, believe it or not...
She'd say, with a scoff.
Rarity: Come this way...
------
It would only take a few minutes to get the job done. Using non-permanent coloring for her coat and mane, she'd get her white fur into a sand color, and her mane down to a dull brown. Using an iron, she'd properly flatten her man... and with the use of a black hind cloth, would hide her cutie mark.
Rarity: There... I believe I am done. Quite a sad sight to behold, honestly.
She'd look at her own self in the mirror. Her too had to do the same thing... alongside her little sister which would be rather displeased with the fact that she wouldn't need that black cloth as well... being blank-flanked still.
Sweetie Belle: That's so unfair!
At this her big sister would sigh and roll her eyes.
Rarity: Sweetie Bell, dear... now is not the time!
At that she'd sit on her rump and pout, crossing her forelegs as she'd look away. Ignoring her, Rarity would look at all the others.
Rarity: So... I do believe that is all?
Josiah would nod at this.
Josiah: More than enough... we already lost some valuable time here and I suggest we move out... like... right now!
At this Rarity would blink several times.
Rarity: Y-yes, I believe you're right... off we go then! Come Sweetie Belle!
Grumpling, she'd follow behind as the two of them would go down the stairs, ready to leave. At this Josiah would look at Jolly and let out an exasperated sigh.
Josiah: This is just getting better and better...
He'd say, thick on sarcasm, now heading down as well.

Good thing she accepted. Well Jolly expected her to after he told her the story and the current circumstances just made him know better that she would. What he didn't expect was for her to want to follow them. Apparently she already had the idea of talking to the princesses. Well, he guessed the more they'd be, the better then. As long as it wasn't all too noticeable.
The time Violet was being ''transformed'' so to say, she remained still. She didn't like it knowing that right now she was being, well... not herself. It sucked. She would watch the mare do her job on her, sometimes only watching with the eyes, other times following with her head when she was allowed. And once the work done, hearing the unicorn speak and say it was quite a sad sight, she wanted to see just how bad it was. She'd go and take a look in the mirror. That flattened mane, that black clothe and the color of her coat too... heck, good thing they didn't have to change the color of their own eyes as well because that was the only thing that was left natural on her at the moment. She'd look from a few angles with a look of disdain, sticking out her tongue at it. Her attention would be brought to Sweetie Belle who also wanted one of those clothes and was now pouting. Turning toward her that she'd simply tell her:
Violet: You can have mine once we're out of here.
Because indeed, it was temporary so to her it was, once they'd be out of there, she could remove that clothe and when the opportunity would show, she could also wash away those colors and find back her natural look. Speaking of which, her scarf and hairbands had been put in her bags by Jolly while she was getting her transformation.
Now that her turn was over, Rarity had to do hers and Sweetie Belle. It took some time, but then everyone would be ready to leave. He himself was ready as well as Violet who put her bags back on. Ready to leave, he'd be about to thank the mare, but she was already going downstairs, leaving them behind for them to catch up. Yet his attention would be brought to Josiah who let out a sigh as well as a comment. He'd hear this one, yet unlike him he didn't mind it all that much.
Jolly: Tell yourself that it's only temporary.
He'd say, marking his face of a smirk before he'd follow the rest down, gesturing to Violet to follow them as well. Once everyone would be gathered down, Jolly would look at Josiah.
Jolly: So how should we proceed now? Will these clothes be more than enough for them?

Josiah would simply nod at this. Yes, if anything he could barely make the difference between those two and one of them. That Rarity knew how to make use of makeup as well as dressing, that was for certain. He obviously wasn't all that much into fashion, but all this came in very handy in this situation, he had to admit. The earth pony would go by the door as the other two would step out, looking at Jolly as he spoke.
Josiah: Yeah, more than enough, she did a good job... now we just have to keep ourselves on the move and hope nothing else gets in our way...
He'd finish with a sigh as they'd all step out of the boutique.
-------
Eventually the group would make it a bit further down the town, and eventually near the border of the town itself; the group had almost made their way out of it without a hitch. Only a couple hundred meters away from freedom! However, before they'd get a chance to step out of the place and finally be done with it... that's when a crown would present itself in front of them, further down the road. Josiah was about to simply make his way around it... but before he had the chance to do so, Rarity stopped him right there as realization struck her.
Rarity: I... oh dear. Wait! Both my friend Pinkie Pie as well as poor Applejack seems to be dealing with lots of trouble out there... I... I think they're protesting against them!
Behind the crowd, the Sugar Cube Corner was literally surrounded by a mob of around fifty angry Palestimanian ponies, some of them wielding banners and signs. Apparently the apple was a forbidden fruit in their religion, making all those apple-flavored pastries an abomination to their eyes... and those apples that orange pony with a cowboy hat and sister sold, an insult to their beliefs. The law hadn't pass on apple products yet... but obviously they'd work for that one as well. Starting now.
Apple Jack was currently standing on front of her stall, her little sister pretty much crying and hiding under it as the apple bucker was busy having a fired up argument with the lead protestant. As for Pinkie Pie, her mane being all flat, she'd only sit on the porch, watching as the events unfold, apparently having lost her ability to smile for the time being. Both of them defiantly still bared their cutie mark and mane color despite the law that had recently passed.
ProtestorLeader: You two mares and your disgusting fruits will leave this town at once! The mere sight of them renders us sick! Our Kra'hir and messiah Shk'ulah clearly stipulates that these were the fruits once used to poison our people! They were filthy and still are today! As well as anything that it touches! Begone and never set hooves here again, you and all that poison of yours you dare to call food!
Applejack obviously not backing down, feeling beyond insulted would tip her hat forward and take a step closer toward the lead protestant.
Applejack: Ya varmin' dun even know jack squat of what yer talkin' about! Fer generations, them delicious apples were grown on the finest n' richest of soils I tell ya! Clean, delicious, juicy, crunchy apples yer tastebuds 'proly never tasted!
She'd take a step closer as she'd poke him right on the chest.
Applejack: You and yer crazy "mesiah" have absolutely no idea what yer tal-
She'd be cut short when the lead protestant would let the back of his right hoof fly and slap the apple trader across her face, hitting her hard on the cheek. This would result in a panicked scream from Applebloom. Pinkie Pie would bring both her hooves in front of her mouth, eyes wide and shocked. Violence obviously something she wasn't given to see often.
Applejack would back up, hitting her stall as she'd grab her face. Her lip had been cut by one of her teeth, spitting a tiny bit of blood.
Leaderprotestant: A mare such as you shouldn't even dare standing out in such an attire, let alone speaking up to a colt in such a manner! You will learn your place, you sinful, unmannered lady and get back where you belong, off with you!
Cheers would come from the crowd at those words... however, Applejack, now literally seeing red would simply take off her hat... slowly... and putting it on the stall carefully. Thinking she understood the message, the sand pony would smirk, all noises still drowned by the crowd.
The orange pony would look under the stall briefly meanwhile.
Applejack: Run, I'll catch up to ya.
Still frozen, she'd take a moment to take this all in. She'd then nod nervously and eventually gallop away... hiding somewhere else, not too far behind a barrel. She didn't want to leave her sister behind completely, after all.
The leader would eventually turn itself... only to be greeted with a hind pair of hooves, ironed, straight to the face; bucked with enough force to literally up-root a whole apple tree for certain. His muzzle would literally squish in, bones and everything as he'd be propelled backward, doing several tumbles before coming to a halt. The crowd, seeing this, would become dead silent, now looking up to an earth pony cracking her wrists and neck.
Applejack: I give ye sand ponies hospitality. We done toleratin' ya all. Givin' you a place to live n' be happy. What do I get in return?
She'd spit on the ground.
Applejack: Nothin'. Not even a bit. Not only y'all a bunch of bigots but yer also runnin' me... n' mah whole family out of business!
She'd say, gritting her teeth as tears would roll down.
Applejack: So I'm. Not. Movin'! Ya hear?!
The crowd would remain silent... but it wouldn't take long for someone to throw the first stone. Literally. She'd dodge it, merely doing so however as three of them would charge right at her. Things would get ugly.
Crowd: STONE HER! INFIDEL!
Pinkie Pie, meanwhile, had done curled herself up into a ball, forehooves grabbing her tail, petting it as she cried.
The rest of the group, meanwhile, had seen it all. Rarity being literally crushed by all these events that just unfolded itself in front of her eyes. Rarity would look at Josiah, almost pleadingly. He seemed to be the most... capable for the time being.
Rarity: W-we have to help them! Do something!
Obviously Josiah didn't feel like leaving them be... but what could he do to fix this? He was only one pony, after all!
Josiah: I-
Before he even had time to talk, however, something came in. A blur. A multi-colored one at that too, literally crashing into the crowd. The blast knocking several of them away. Yet an other mare would join in the brawl, taking the opportunity to work her way to Applejack before the others had time to recover. She was bruised and had obviously received a couple of hits... but the three more unconscious sand ponies at her hooves showed she had the opportunity to dish out as well.
Rainbow Dash: Woah, you okay there, AJ? Mind if I join the party?!
She'd spit an other shot of blood on the ground as she'd look up at her and smirk.
Applejack: Hop right in!
Seeing they had a bit more time, Josiah would turn and look at all the others... he'd pull what seemed to be a green canister with a small handle and pin out of one of his bandolier pocket. He'd then look at all the others with that item in hooves.
Josiah: That thing blows up and blinds people momentarily! I'll chuck it in and you'll cover your eyes or look away! Jolly, you take care of that pink mare on the porch, Rarity, you take the orange one and get her out... and as for me, I'll go for the Rainbow one!
He'd then look at the two foals.
Josiah: You two follow your sister and dad got it?
He'd take off the pin....
Josiah: We have twenty seconds after that thing goes to get them out of sight!
... and toss the thing, landing right in the middle of the crowd. Josiah would look away as it went off. Then charge right in. Both Applejack and Rainbow Dash being blinded as well, they'd need to be shown the way out. Same for Pinkie Pie who had her eyes mindlessly open throughout all this.

On their way to make it out of the town, as things were going well, another unexpected event would take place. At Rarity's interruption of the group when she mentionned two familiar names, Jolly instantly looked over where the scene was happening, eyes opened as well as his mouth. He simply couldn't believe that those palestimanian ponies were protesting against one of the best products of the town... and using their own ways as well, throwing their religion at them already to have their way out.
It seemed like things wouldn't go exactly as planned for the protestors, though. Applejack would show herself tough and holding her ground as well. Jolly could only contemplate in disdain what was happening... having no power to stop a whole crowd of these.
Jolly: This is awful...
He wished he could just have some sort of super power to throw them all away from this place and just get rid of them, but this wasn't the case. His attention would then be brought to Rarity who was desperate in finding a way to help them. Things would happen one after the other as it seemed like Rainbow Dash joined the party.
Soon it seemed Josiah made his decision, Jolly seeing he'd take out and object he hadn't seen before. Good thing it came with an explanation. The pegasus would have to lend his hoof on this one and help out, which he'd nod to once the instructions would be given to him. Being determined enough he'd look at the scene while waiting for his cue.
Jolly: Got it...
He'd simply say. And it would happen. The adventurer threw the canister which would detonate and as told, both Jolly and Violet looked away to protect their eyes. It was now! Right after coming back he would charge in, Violet following behind. The pegasus aimed for Pinkie Pie who was still down on the ground. Quickly getting to her as he jumped and flew over the crowd while Violet sneaked between them with ease while they couldn't see, he noticed she had been blinded by the bright light as she was looking around in fear. No time had to be lost, though. Jolly would make her notice his own presence.
Jolly: Pinkie Pie! It's me, Jolly Thinker! I'll get you out of here, come with me!
He'd tell her, grabbing her hoof to help her get up. This mare was well known for the parties she was throwing for everyone. She should recognise his name. He was also the only therapist of the town, so his own name had been told more than once around the village. Once she would be up, Jolly would help her walk away from the crowd. Violet decided to go at the front instead, Jolly having seen her. She'd look for Josiah so they could join with him. Once she'd spot him she could make her way there along with Jolly and Pinkie Pie. They still had a couple of seconds left before the effects would dismiss.

Things would go surprisingly well, Pinkie Pie being in a near state of shock would let herself being basically manipulated... not really responding to anything. She simply knew this person wanted to help. That's all she'd allow herself to think right now as she was escorted away.
Rarity, meanwhile, would take care of Applejack... which the farmer couldn't see but obviously recognized the voice of. She wouldn't hesitate in following her either. Rainbow Dash, however, had it in an entirely different way. Good thing Josiah knew how to fight and had some well-sharpened reflexes... otherwise he would've been hit... pretty hard at that too, multiple times.
But with simple words and trying to sound as convincing as possible, he'd eventually manage to get her out of there as well... the crowd now pretty much bumping into each other and fighting each other in the mass confusion. Applebloom, seeing this from afar, would manage to follow as well. The group getting away safely as they'd eventually make their way out of Ponyville.
------A few days earlier, on an other distant land.------
Their tranquility had been troubled. More than once. For several months now they had been able to hold them off... peacefully at that too. But recent events had shown that if they were to keep their identity, faith as well as peace, they had to stand... and fight them off. Quite ironic since their philosophy practiced the non-violence.
This caused turmoil and of course, disturbed many citizen of their noble and tranquil land... making their learning of the "Dead Fire" now quite a difficult thing. Something their whole civilization aspired of. Those Palastimanian ponies were showing themselves to be extremely aggressive and relentless... claiming rights that wasn't even theirs and changes that weren't theirs to take either.
They even went as far as raiding one of their tranquil, small town of theirs... and done demolishing one of their temples. Many outside towns that fell under their jurisdiction were now on defensive and standing their ground... but the assaults were getting more and more numerous. If they didn't take actions now, they'd start to lose towns, succumbing to their vile and corrupted ways.
This is why they'd seek help. An alliance... with their closest neighbors. The land of Haven, ruled by nopony else than Raiya the arch angel.
Five individuals wearing red and yellow monk robes, typical to their lands, were now marching toward said place. The main capital no less. It was as impressive as it had always been, the sun glimmering down on the gigantic city built on the largest of hills. Nothing had changed. Though, as they got closer to the main doors, obvious sings of battle would surface. Banners ripped apart, various clubs and makeshift weapons as well as broken bottles. As well as arrows literally planted in the soil. All of them had blunt ends, however.
They had their share of turmoil as well it would seem... as suspected.
The doors were open for the time being, though, heavily guarded. Guards in golden armor would approach them in order to get a better look at them... though, the leading individual in the middle would simply remove that hood from over his head that the guards would stop dead in their tracks, eyes widening. They'd give him a short bow as they'd step back and let him pass. He'd then put the hood back on and continue his way alongside his four disciples.
-----
All five of them would eventually reach the castle... obviously heavily guarded and wall'd as well. A real bastion of defense... but that obviously didn't lose any of it's grandeur and beauty. It was a mix of art and actual utility... a fortress mixed with what seemed to be a Cathedral that almost touched the skies.
When shown who the leader of the small group was, all guards would simply stand away... he'd repeat the process until they'd reach the main doors and eventually allowed inside the castle itself. From there they'd eventually reach the throne room, the door closed once more.
There, two alicorn guarded the doors. Angels no less, wielding mighty, holy weapons. Then again, when shown who was at the head of the group, they'd simply stand aside. They knew they were no enemy. Plus... it's not like Lady Raiya couldn't defend herself.
All four of them would walk up to her, looking up at her, siting on her throne. All remaining four followers would pull away of their hoods, revealing their identity. One was a changeling, with eyes glowing a solid blue, no pupil or anything, his mane was aqua green, somewhat long but tied up in a pony tail. The second was a griffin... with a plumage seemingly literally made out of gold with only very few black feathers here and there on his pluffy collar of feathers. He also had a black beak and eyes green as emeralds and wear lots of jewelry of all sorts. The third one was transparent. Literally. Made out of what seemed to be a liquid... or a slime of a sort. Light aqua blue with few spots of deep blue here and there, blue eyes and medium-long green mane as well. The fourth one was a regular pony with a coat colored in dark-grayish blue, a semi-long light grayish-blue mane as well, golden eyes with a simple ear ring.
The leader of the four unusual visitors was a deer, his body covered with bandages and wearing black pants. His eyes were black and his iris white. Few trinkets were dandling on his defenses above his head. He had a plain dark brown coat and black hooves.
He'd take a few steps forward, standing in front of his group of disciples. All of them would then bow as they'd bring their own hooves, talons or what have you in front of them as the grayish blue pegasus would make presentation.
????: Your majesty Lady Raiya... your holiness, Gautama the Second now stands before you. Please hear his words...
Indeed. The deer was in fact the direct disciple and protégé of the now dead but legendary Gautama that once founded their philosophy and culture millenniums ago. Reaching five hundred of age and not having gained a single wrinkle. He too had reached the fabled state of illumination... otherwise known as the Dead Fire. He was the very column that now supported his whole kingdom as well, and force to be reckoned with too.
After his short bow, the deer would look up at Raiya. She too hadn't changed one bit. He'd smile.
Gautama: As luminescent and majestic as always.
He'd say, his voice resonating of inner peace, calmness as well as positiveness.
Gautama: I simply wish we could've met under more pleasant circumstances, however.
He'd finish with a chuckle.
Gautama: I do believe you know the reason of our coming here...

Before they could arrive in here, the Archangel Raiya who sat on her throne, her blonde mane floating some, her two pairs of wings, a larger one over a smaller pair, wasn't there only to be there. Thinking at the moment of all the things that were happening around... even her land had been affected by all of this. Recently they had their share of trouble. Lady Raiya had no choice but to use a minimum of force since they were becoming aggressive. With the use of blunt arrows and other weapons to avoid any serious damage they managed to put a stop to it, yet she simply knew that they wouldn't stop for good and they had already done some damage as well. Soon she would have to act... she couldn't let her beautiful land change for them. Their ways were simply going against hers by too much and it was becoming quite worrisome.
At this moment her eyes were closed, being thougtful. As guards were on duty and more were deployed than usual, a few angels would remain near the throne as well as at the great doors that would lead to this room. It was rather quiet in the whole place. Next to her were two other angels simply standing on watch, taking notice of their surrounding, listening and simply making use of their sensing abilities to sense anything abnormal.
Speaking of which, while the Archangel was in her thoughts, although she was still being aware of who and what was around her, the two guards next to her would both glare outside of the great doors. They saw that guards there moved, doing their job in stopping whoever was coming in, but somehow let them passed. The two angels would soon take back their position as they saw and sensed who it was.
At this moment, Raiya would open her bright blue eyes, which gave an amount of reassurance just by watching into them, when they stopped in front of her, having sensed them as well without finding any traces of evil intention. She would greet them all with a smile and a short bow of the head as they would present themselves. She wouldn't speak for the time being, letting the leader Gautama speak his words in all due respect to him. And she knew...
Raiya: I am quite thankful for the compliment...
And this smile would disappear.
Raiya: ... And I wished for the same.
Her voice would echo throughout the room, as it was a natural feature with her. Slowly she would get up of her throne, the wings spreading some before folding back as she would walk to the sides, looking above.
Raiya: Surely you must have taken notice of the battles which have taken place outside.
She would stop in her walk, turning her head towards Gautama and the others, taking a moment of silence, seeming conscerned.
Raiya: They are growing... and taking more space as well as being more aggressive. I am to believe you have come to visit me seeking for my help.

Not loosing his smile, the Gautama would simply chuckle as he'd trot toward one of the windows. From there he would simply stop himself and look down through it, seemingly thinking about something as well as what he was about to say. Still sounding as light-hearted, he'd turn and look at her as he'd speak. Meanwhile his disciples stayed behind, remaining silent.
Gautama: Isn't it ironic that we offer them love... compassion. And because of our selfless acts we now face a cultural extinction? I find this to be quite humorous as well as entertaining, I must admit.
He'd finish, eyes closed and eventually shaking his head, still keeping a smile however, even laughing at some point and genuinely so.
Gautama: The follies this world will always be capable of will never cease to amuse me... I like that!
At this, his students would also share similar feelings. Pretty much all of them at this point holding back a certain amount of laughter mixed with a certain amount of pity. It was in their teachings to humor at such things rather than be saddened by it. And not forcibly so either. All of them were all finding this to be rather foolish as well... infantile to an extant, even. It's in such moments they knew their teaching as well as their master had been right all along.
The deer would sigh in relief as he'd look at Raiya once more.
Gautama: My people are being pushed to perform deeds that goes against their teachings... but we also value a certain sense of self-defense... as well as keeping a certain sense of identity and dignity. I cannot hold them responsible for such actions. Though, I believe this is already a lost battle. For all of us. Fighting will only delay the inevitable downfall of our cultures.
He'd take a pause before he'd continue.
Gautama: That is why... we must find a different approach.
He'd turn around and make sign to one of his disciples to approach. The golden griffin would be the one to do so. Handing over a scroll which Gautama would take hold of... by levitating it. There wasn't any magical aura, however. How he was doing that was beyond normal people understanding... it was literally like invisible and undetectable magic.
The scroll would unroll itself, revealing what seemed to be Celestia's writing.
Gautama: We found those inside one of our ancient libraries... it only starts to make sense now, however.
He'd say, with a chuckle.
Gautama: It's not to everyone's knowledge that their religion was once founded by no one else than Starswirl the Bearded... However, grotesquely bent out of shape if we take into account his own, original writings.
He'd levitate the scroll to Raiya for her to pic if she so desired and take a look.
Gautama: These are probably the only ones left... what I brought here today is but a simple page of the whole bundle we found... it would seem Celestia's once Faithful Student scattered as many of those as he possibly could all around the world before his death. Those found were destroyed, however... by them.
He'd say, now looking by the window once more.
Gautama: I believe Princess Celestia may hold a few answers for us that may render this whole quest of ours much simpler. We need to take action at the very root of this whole problem.
He'd look one final time at Raiya, smiling.
Gautama: We hold a relic of unfathomable importance... soon perhaps some valuable information to go with it... and with all this, we shall change their religion... at its very core. We cannot get rid of it... therefore we must simply... temper with it.

The Archangel stood where she was, looking at Gautama, following his movements, where he was going, what he was doing. Listening to him explain. The two others keeping their ears up to listen as well. This could avoid their leader to repeat to them and could save time. Raiya's facial expression would change some and react according to what he was explaining, feeling worried and even feeling for him and his people.
Hearing of the scroll, it got her curiosity right there as he spoke of a different approach and what he managed to find in his library. At that she would completely turn her body to him as she'd see him take this scroll from his assistant and would levitate it with what seemed to be his own form of magic. Something the two guards here had never seen as both would widen their eyes some to it. As for Raiya it wasn't something she needed to react to and simply waited for the scroll to reach her. Her horn would glow of a bright white and an aura of the same color would engulf the paper which would soon levitate closer to her, all while taking good care of not damaging the old sheet so she could read what was on it.
Reading at the same time as listening to the deer who managed to remain calm, she had to admit it was quite reassuring to hear him never lose his calm as such, once done with the scroll she would lower and look back at Gautama with a neutral look, acquiring more of his information. It's only at the end of his speech that she would smile back at him, nodding slightly.
Raiya: Your ways of remaining calm are quite admirable, Gautama the Second. If anything, it eases my soul.
She would then come down the little stairs that were leading to her throne, the scroll still in her magic, it would levitate back to the deer, wanting to give it back to its owner.
Raiya: We will need to believe in each other if we are to accomplish something as demanding as this. And this is why it is with great pleasure that I will lend you my help.
She would say, not losing that smile she had on. What Gautama had in mind exactly at the moment though, she couldn't tell. They would go and see Celestia, this was quite obvious, but did he want her to come personally or would she need to send a messenger with them? She had this feeling she would need to leave her land for a while and meet with the princess of the sun personally, something she was ready to do. She already had something planned to protect the kingdom in case she would need to leave. The Archangel had a few names in mind who could take care of things here and she knew just too well they wouldn't fail her. So if anything... she was ready.
Raiya: If anything, I am ready to start cooperating right now.

Gautama never would've taken the time to fly across many lands only to arrive here and get turned away; he knew Raiya was a friend of his and that he could depend on her. The deer had known her since he was nothing else but a fawn. Same for his own teacher... who passed away several hundreds years ago due to an incurable illness caused by a powerful poison. Who gave him this as well as why would always remain a mystery, however.
Raiya was probably just as old as the royal sisters... or close to it, at least. And as far as he could remember, her and his own land had always been on very good terms. His coming here was merely to render things perfectly official.
Hearing the arch angel giving her approval, the deer would simply nod, turning to look up at her.
Gautama: We will send two of our own disciples to Celestia... the four of them will gather the information required... two shall come back... two others will stay with the princesses if they ask for their help.
The Golden griffon as well as the dark pegasus would stand forth.
Gautama: I shall be sending Gorudo as well as Demetrius for this quest while the rest of us shall stay busy here...
He'd then smile as he'd look around at the several guards that were around these parts.
Gautama: What about you, dear Raiya... who will you be sending there, may I ask?

The Archangel wouldn't need to look around. Gautama made his choice over who he'd send for this mission and if she was going to be asked the same, she would already know. The answer was already there before she could even hear the question. One of those she'd send was already in the room while the other one was busy somewhere else in the castle. Instead of seeming thoughtful she would simply look behind at the two guards by her throne. They weren't regular guards, but angels. She'd look at one in particular, one who's mane was of a light green, rather short with just a strand of hair going up in the middle, who would look back at her with her green eyes with no pupils. Other than that this angel, like most of the others, had a larger pair of wings than pegasi with feathers being different as well. They seemed longer and more pointier as well, and as for the horn it was longer than regular unicorns. A white coat would cover the body of the angel pony and would end with a tail having the same color as the mane. Dropping down, Falina's tail didn't have any special pattern, but the texture of the tail itself was smooth as if she was taking care of it just everyday, but it was common with angels as it was their natural look. Just by exchanging glances this angel knew what the Archangel meant. Raiya would then come back to the deer.
Raiya: Falina, my loyal angel as well as friend. One on who I could always depend no matter the circumstances. She understands with ease and follows instructions well. She is also the one to who I can deliver any secret and thoughts.
Hearing her name, Falina would step away from her place and would come join her leader. The other guard wouldn't move. He knew he wasn't going to be part of this mission anyway. Besides, Raiya would probably need him most if the place was to be threatened. During this time, Raiya had closed her eyes, seeming thoughtful this time and remained silent for a few seconds. Opening her eyes she would be able to tell of her second choice.
Raiya: As for my other one... Taka will accompany Falina and your assistants.
Saying this that this Taka would appear by the door. Blond mane, forelock going down almost hiding his left blue eye. His facial expression could give the impression he looked tired, but he wasn't. It just gave this impression to some. Just like Falina he had a larger pair of wings and a longer horn than regular ponies. His tail had the same texture and a more spiky pattern, where those spikes would point down. The Archangel would glance over to him as he would approach. As he'd walk there he'd look at everyone inside, smirking and bowing to the guests before he'd arrive on the other side of Raiya. This done, the two of them would be ready already. The two of them who, let's say, were also taller than normal. Once again the leader of the angels would turn her sight to Gautama, smiling softly.
Raiya: Do not let yourself be fooled by Taka's personality for he can appear lazy sometimes. Yet his high intellect has served me more than once and is a very good listener as well. I put my trust in these two for this task.
