So she feared more about the fact that things might never change after what happened with the palestimanians. Indeed... if things were to stay that way, making others smile would be hard. Parties wouldn't happen anymore, which was what she was good at. Jolly could feel her sentiments at that point. At the end, when she was done talking she broke into sobs. He'd let her cry for the time being. For him it was important that it came out. Better not keep it in.
Jolly: It's unpleasant, isn't it?
He'd simply say at all of this in agreement while she was sobbing. He'd wait some more before he'd keep going with his next question. Again he would just take his position in his chair again before speaking.
Jolly: How would you like things to change?
Although the question seemed rather stupid, for him it was important to know this. The more she spoke about how she felt, the more information he'd get and the more he'd be able to help as well. It was obvious that she wished for them to go, but how did she feel into this? How would she like to make them go away herself if she had the power?
---------------------
Falina didn't know if she should feel reassured or not by Gorudo and Demetrius. Not matter how she saw it, what she felt was threatening and worth worrying about. She wouldn't lower her guard around such individual. Maybe back then he or she had a reason not to attack them either... who knew. She couldn't read minds.
Well, with that being done, her mind's attention would quickly be drawn toward the royal figure who would approach them all. Before the princess, both her and Taka would bow respectfully along with the two others. They'd give her a smile after she spoke.
When she decided to look at them, while circling them, the two angels wondered if it was all that necessary. Sure, she could see through their disguise, and with that being said, then'd even take their angel forms, dropping the spell that was on. Although it didn't take them this much magic, it was still something to hold it for too long and it wasn't needed at the moment. They would dispell it, going in a quick flash and they'd both regain all of their angelic features before the princess would go to the two others.
At the mention of Demetrius, Taka and Falina would both look at each other for a brief moment before looking at Demetrius. They just remembered something... on their way to the castle they had noticed something different about this pegasus. Something... not quite usual. He was hiding something under this cloak of his which could be noticeable on his legs. Taka would chuckle.
Taka: I think you owe us some explanations there.
He'd simply tell him. Yet it'd have to wait as Gorudo called everyone back to order here. As everyone would follow the princess inside her room, they'd take a seat as they were invited to do so. From there they'd wait for what was next. Surely the princess was going to give them some explanation if she was already aware of their coming to Canterlot.

Pinkie Pie simply couldn't resolve herself to any radical answers here. She believe anypony had the right to be happy in life, including them. However, at the price of other's well-being? That's where a line should be drawn. At least, in her mind. In reality, by her own, there was nothing she could do. Applejack nearly got herself killed by an angry mob simply for standing up for her own sake, let alone trying to get through anypony... or even an entire town. This was a lost cause and she knew it. Though, she wouldn't admit it. It angered her. She didn't want to see everything that she had learned to like go away like this. It wasn't fair!
Pinkie Pie: Just... to get back like things were! B-But I don't know how! I don't want to hurt anypony... I just wish we could simply get all well together! I don't mind whatever color you are... whatever you believe in! As long as you're nice... But most of them don't want to be!
She'd say, trying to regain control of herself. Those eyes of her literally flowing like fountains would eventually run dry, sniffing as she'd get some of her composure. She'd remain sit on her chair, not knowing what else to say, really. If anything, she just felt like leaving right now... but Twilight did told her he'd be able to help her, somehow. She insisted on it.
Pinkie Pie: S-so... what should I do?
--------------
Twilight had left the pegasus at lost for words. Magic. Heh. He'll never understand how it worked... at least, not all of it. It was like mathematics; the more you knew the worst it got. His cover was merely not to attract too much attention. I wasn't perfect... and to be honest, he had no shame of what he had become. Not in the least. This was merely comfort for other's eyes, just for the sake of being able to go down places he didn't know without being look at like some sort of circus beast. Even if he had self esteem, it was still displeasing.
Some bits of his would remain exposed; his silicone skin had seems here and there, most of them hidden by his robe... two other on his hind legs weren't. Usually he'd put leather straps with small pouches over those... but he forgot; that angel's comment making that official. At this he'd simply let a barely visible smirk.
Demetrius: In due times, maybe.
His voice was a bit more serious than usual. If anything, he didn't like showing off. He didn't feel like having them looking at him like he was some sort of oddity and machine of war. Demetrius the pegasus was well enough and he hoped things would remain like such for as long as possible.
The group would step inside, then would follow the reveling of the precious documents as well as their studying.
------------
Once the majority of it read through and through, Twilight would be left completely swooped. Her eyes big as melons and mouth parted open. All that was written in this would be enough to literally throw their whole religion upside down! She'd eventually snap out of it and face the group.
Twilight Sparkle: This is... astonishing. Really! I've read all of Starswirl The Bearded's works and this... this puts back everything into perspective. We all doubted that his book, the Kra'hir had been twisted and modified... but to have actual, physical proofs right here on this table... It's... breath taking.
Celestia, who had joined them moments earlier would be the next to speak, sitting next to Twilight, smiling softly as she remembered days of the past.
Celestia: Yes... I remember my old Faithful Student. It was around your age, Twilight, that he decided to venture off on his own. My teachings had served him well, but it seemed as if he had found his own ways and goals in life. He respectfully left shortly thereafter... I couldn't hold him back.
She'd say, letting out a sigh. Not one of regret or annoyance, but rather one of nostalgia. She remembered him like it was yesterday.
Celestia: Starswirl had a very unique ability of his own which I never truly understood... or rather, how he'd manage to do such. As you may already know, he was the author of countless prophecies. Some of them never happened, more of them did... word for word. His main work throughout his prophetic career... was this.
She'd motion at Twilight who'd pull out a book from a library, putting it down on the table. It was a copy of the Kra'hir, the Palestimane's religious book. Celestia would engulf the book withing her own magic aura as she'd shift the pages around randomly.
Celestia: Originally, this book had been written by him. However, through time, ponies twisted its words and turn it into an horrific book of hatred and war. These documents are what my old Faithful Student had originally intended to write... and because of that are perhaps one of the most important relics this world has never held into it's hooves...
Sure there was this thing Josiah had brought them this day... but they haven't been able to figure it out completely yet... so no need to be speaking of it as of now.
Celestia: Though it all, however, one prophecy remained perfectly intact... being this one...
The pages would to back toward the beginning. Her hoof would fall on the specific paragraph as she'd begin to read it.
Celestia: "I tell you, my brothers and sisters, that the ages of hardship and pain shall be gone. One shall rise, strong enough to defeat dragons, wise enough to outsmart the gods. His kindness shall know no bounds for he will be the light to all your worldly problems. Wearing a beard and wielding a staff, a light as bright as a thousand suns will announce his arrival as he shall stand high above all."
She'd finish, eyes closed. She knew the book by heart, of course.
Celestia: And since then... this noble prophecy has been the very downfall of all his work.
She'd say, sadness in her voice as she'd shut the book, reopening her eyes.
Celestia: Right now they have someone at the head of their country that claims to be all this prophecy had say. Many had fought over this title, but none never truly took it with true intents. Thirst for power tyranny and fear of eternal torment is what it's always about...

Although she didn't want to admit it, Jolly could guess that it would anger her. It wasn't something she'd just be sad about. For her to be in a state, to feel powerless about it... Sure, she was showing a lot of sadness about, but still. From his chair Jolly would only listen at her, never looking away from her, being all ears about how she felt. The poor mare had no idea of what to do about it... Would Jolly know, though? It's when she asked what she should do that he wondered if he really had an answer for this. He couldn't make her wait too long either, though. She'd wonder if it was right to come here in the end. Thing was... with all of this, Jolly doubted he'd be able to help her in just one session.
Jolly : What you should do... I can't tell you what you have to do, Pinkie, but I can suggest. You're heavily troubled by all of what's happening in Ponyville and its surroundings. I think you're well aware of what's happening.
He'd begin with. Not easy to say, yet that's how she was. Thing is he didn't even suggest anything for now. Before she could say anything about it all, that's when he'd continue with what he had to say, advancing his upperbody some.
Jolly : At the moment you're only seeing what makes you sad... and most probably angry too. You might feel as if there is nothing that can be done about it. You ask me what you should do... I think that you should simply try and take the time to look around. Your friends are here in the castle and they are well.
He'd say and would replace himself, smiling some.
Jolly : Take the time to live the present moment. Perhaps being with the others will you do good. Here I think that if you really want to get help from me, it'll take more than one visit. I can't do miracles, but I can try to give you advices or even some tricks to help overcome certain situations. The only thing is that you have to want to do it.
He'd explain.
Jolly : So would you like for us to continue? Do you feel it necessary?
---------------------------------------------------
In the room the angels had taken a seat, waiting for the lavender princess to read through what they brought. They'd remain silent, giving the time to Twilight to get through it all and having her thoughts on it. After what Princess Celestia took a turn at speaking as well, explaining in better details the work of Starswirl. At that, once again both Taka and Falina remained silent, remaining respectful to the princesses as they were seeing this through.
This made them think, though. Their leader Raiya did talk to them about Starswirl the Bearded before. The work he had done as well. She didn't know everything about him, but she knew some of the things he did.
After this moment of nostalgia, as Celestia came back to the present and spoke of the leader of their country, this made Falina raise her head as it immediately brought back the images of this figure they all saw back then. She hesitated for a few seconds to see if she could talk about it, remembering that both Gorudo and Demetrius seem to take this enemy rather lightly while she was the most worried one about it. Yet she didn't keep herself silent on the matter.
Falina : Please pardon me your highness... I would like to share with you about a certain pony who we have seen while on our way here.
She would begin to say rather determined to speak about it. Taka would only look at her as he'd listen to what she'd have to say next.
Falina : We had an encounter on our way here with the palestimanians. While we were being chased they suddenly stopped. Up in the sky we all noticed an odd figure floating looking down at us...
She'd lower her eyes some, remembering what she felt coming from this pony.
Falina : I felt a dark and macabre aura coming from him or her...
She'd raise her eyes again, looking back at the princess.
Falina : Although the chase took end there, I can't say I liked what I felt. Whoever this is I feel it be important that you know about it. This is what I had to say.
She'd finish as she'd look at everyone before repositionning herself and waiting for them to proceed with either something else or on this topic.

Pinkie listened to him, she'd sob once again, sniffing as she'd regain her composure. She'd ran a hoof over he face, drying her tears. She had to admit, even if the situation looked grim, far worst than anything she dealt with in the past, was there something she and he friends really couldn't resolve? Perhaps there was something Twilight could think of; she was quite the smarty pants, after all. And now she was with the princesses as well, too. Perhaps all they needed was some more time?
However, thinking of the present and forgetting the bad that was surely up ahead was currently too difficult for her. The fear literally ate her from the inside out, uncertainty as well as grief. Yes, grief. The Ponyvile she once knew was most-likely gone for good now. But she'd try, just to... forget about all this for now, concentrate on what good she had left.
Sure it wouldn't be enough to fix her state as of now... but it would be something she'd consider doing later on on the long run. Looking up at Jolly, about to tell him she'd rather go take a nap than going any further for now, something would happen that'd interrupt their ongoing session quite abruptly.
------
Celestia as well as Twilight would listen to their words, carefully at that too. Twilight however, wouldn't be too surprised nor really concerned by it; as long as she didn't see it with both her eyes, there was no need to alarm one's self. That's how things were with her. The sun monarch on the other hoof, would frown as she heard what they had to say. If anything, she knew angels, out of all creatures, would probably be the last ones to be lying... or to speak nonsense. Gautama's bodyguards didn't seem to be as concerned by this than the two celestial beings were, but even there, this had greatly poked at her curiosity.
However, before Celestia even had chance to speak, something quite loud and sudden would cut this session of theirs; the sound of a loud, yet muffled explosion would let itself hear. The whole place would shake as lights would flicker. Dust would fall from the ceiling as the hanging light would swing back and forth.
At this Demetrius would instantly throw himself out of his chair, knowing fully well what this sound and shock was. Celestia as well as twilight would be busy catching various falling objects with their magic. The sun Monarch, obviously distressed by all this, would then soon turn herself toward the whole lot of them.
Celestia: What in mother's name was that?
She'd ask on a firm tone. Demetrius would be the first one to answer.
Demetrius: That was an explosion your highness! A chemical one... and a big one at that too I'm afraid.
At that both the princesses would look at each other in realization. Palestimanians had a very limited ratio of pegasus, unicorns even more; often they'd resolve to use explosives rather than powerful spells. Not only was it easier, but also just as effective, if not more. Nothing was certain yet, but everything seemed to be pointing toward one possibility.
Celestia: My friends... It would seem that Canterlot is under siege! I think we already know who may be behind this... my only hope, however, is that the timing behind this attack is a coincidence with your coming here. Otherwise we may already know what they're after...
She'd say looking down at the parchments.
Celestia: With your permission, I shall will bring those to my magical safe near my throne room... The four of you meanwhile will he-
And other explosion would let itself heard... this one, however, far more brutal and intense. It almost felt as if this one had been dropped right above their head. It wouldn't take long for one of the guards to storm in, seeking the princesses attentions; a quick salute and he'd make brief resume of the situation.
Guard: Your highness! Palestimanians are attacking the castle! A bomb was detonated at the main entry, we had several casualties! Some of their pegasus also began dropping explosives from the air; one of them hit the castle's roof. However, Shining Armor has now taken care of air superiority; we armed and pony'd the guard towers and a shield was put up in place to deflect any further air bombings!
He'd lower his head as he'd clench his teeth.
Guard: Their forces, an army of hundreds is now literally bashing away at the castle's main doors, using all manners of siege weapons to take it down... the gates may be enchanted, but there's no telling how much more they can take! They popped out of nowhere; we suspect powerful summoning magic, your highness!
Celestia would narrow her eyes, her visage becoming stern and as hard as granite. If anything, those sand ponies had gotten themselves into something they wish they hadn't. She wasn't wrathful, far from it. She always hoped for a peaceful solution. But this was a line they shouldn't have crossed. Enough was enough.
Celestia: This matters not, rally your guards and stop them at once!
She'd pause, her eyes narrowing as she'd frown.
Celestia: And use as much force necessary to bring them to a halt.
She'd say through clenched teeth. She'd then get up, so did Twilight. At this point she'd remain silent, waiting for Celestia to give out orders. Honestly, she undoubtedly had far more experience than her when it came to such situations. If anything, she felt extremely nervous right now, as well as out of place. The lavender unicorn never witnessed such violence, and little did she knew, it was far worst than she's ever suspect it to be; nothing to do with knocking around few changelings and bad guys working for some crazy-maned psychopath in a comic book.
No, what was be going on down there was most-likely pure and simple brutality and barbaric bloodshed. Celestia would look at the four others, visage as rock solid as it was moments ago.
Celestia: Me and Twilight shall take those documents you brought us to my magical safe and make sure the elements of harmony remain unharmed as well. Meanwhile, you four shall take part in this battle and do whatever you can to stop them dead cold! My guard will lead you to them!
At this both the monks would nod as the princess, a quick bow before they'd follow the guard out of Celestia's quarter and into the battle.

Jolly was ready to let the mare go and take some rest. He'd understand greatly and would be able to explain to the princesses after the reason of why she wouldn't be back to her happy self. It wasn't like she came here really all by herself after all. He knew she needed some more time and in this castle, things would go just fine for her. It wouldn't remove her worries for the town and her friends, but it would surely help to be in a protected place.... or so, that's what he truly hoped for.
He'd remain in his position, still looking at Pinkie and awaiting her answer. He almost already knew what it would be, yet would let her make the move. After all he simply suggested something, not ordering. Unfortunately for them this would all come to an interruption as they heard a noise in the castle and would also sense the ground shake. Jolly was taken out of his focus and got up of his chair looking around quickly by reflex as if trying to find the source of it before coming back to Pinkie Pie.
Jolly: What was that?...
He'd ask himself. Whatever caused this he didn't know... but he could easily tell that it wasn't anything good nor reassuring. The stallion would quickly calm down and regain his composure on this, letting out a sigh to release himself. He couldn't say the same for Pinkie, though.. already that she was shaken by the events of what happened in Ponyville. Yet before he could even say anything, a stronger one would make itself happen. It was more intense and gave the impression to everyone that they were being under attack... well so much for what the therapist tried to do here. After this one Jolly quickly headed to the door as he told the pink mare to remain where hse was and opened only to walk outside. He stood there in sight just so Pinkie would know he wasn't leaving her alone. In the corridor Jolly looked left and right. The others would be stepping outside and he'd be able to see his niece galloping toward him with looking very worried. The young unicorn would halt to a stop leaving the other fillies where they were with some of the other mares who were present. They too didn't look reassured at all and the trio decided to stay close to each other trying to support each other.
Violet: What's happening?!
The young filly would ask her uncle panicking. At that Jolly would get to her height looking serious.
Jolly: I'm afraid I can't tell, Violet... But don't wander off. We must all stay close to each other right now.
Jolly didn't know the castle so wandering off would be a bad idea unless the other owners of the elements really knew where to go. If anything guards would be on their way to escort them somewhere too.
-----------------------
After Falina's share of information she could tell that it had poked the attention of Celestia just by seeing her change of face. The angel had a reason to be worried when she sensed all of that. For it to still bother her at this time too... Falina really wanted to hear what the princess had to say on this matter, yet the meeting would be interrupted when the first explosion occured. It had to catch everyone's attention and after Demetrius came with his explanation Taka would be the one to frown. He wasn't an expert in the matter, but he could easily understand what it meant. Celestia would be the one to confirm what he thought... yet why would they attack the castle? It's as if they knew... Taka feared the worst and before he could think further he as well as the others would be disturbed by yet another explosion, this one being worse than the first. The two angels got up their seats ready to take action. They didn't need to say words, for a guard barged in to announce what was going on...
Soon after the princess took commands and gave the order to the angels as well as the two monks to follow the guard who would lead them to the right place. At that Taka and Falina quickly bowed to the princess and were sent on their way as well.

While Princess Celestia, Luna and Twilight went off in the other direction, the four others went off the opposite way. As far as they knew, the main battle was taking place at the gate and there only; a full frontal assault is probably what they were dealing with here. Demetrius' eyes would narrow at the thought, however. Being the clever and calculating type, something simply didn't add up. He wasn't expert in magic... but to harness such a large group teleportation, no matter how much time it took them... meant that they weren't dealing with just some random riot.
Such magic investment must've been spent wisely. Either these guys were elite warriors... or perhaps it was a diversion? If so, from what? Canterlot had eyes all around the castle, as well as Shining armor's bubble shield protecting them from any outside interferences. It just didn't add up.
But then again, perhaps they were simply THAT dumb and thought that a surprise attack would be all they needed to take over this castle.
As they went, however, it didn't take long for the dark pegasus to notice something. Civilians. Lots of them. Ranging from simple nobles to servants and students and the like, running amok in a panic, the guards were trying to keep order... but since most of them had been called to defend, that left very little to do any good at keeping order.
They'd keep a pace on... though, before they'd even have the chance to get to the next floor, another loud explosion would let itself heard, the whole place would shake violently, nearly enough to throw him off balance. From the windows, an extremely bright light would entirely fill the whole place, followed by a massive detonation that literally blew up every possible bit of glass to mere dust, a shockwave strong enough to even damage some walls as the full force of the blast threw most people, including him on the floor. The griffon would manage to barely keep himself up, his talons gripping to the carpet. However, his feathers were now puffed up beyond measures, both ruffled by the winds... and a bit more from the suddenness of it all.
Everypony screamed in a panic shortly thereafter, running around madly as they'd rush for nearest exists. At this point the guards simply didn't know what to do. One of the guards would look by a window, seemingly shocked by something. He'd turn around and yell to his brother in arms something along the lines of "Shining Armor's shield being gone". If anything, it was obvious that this mother of all bombs that had been dropped seconds ago was specifically meant to break this defense.
Which only mean that Demetrius' early guess on an actual well-thought-out attack proving to be true. Barely having recovered from the blast that sand pegasus began storming in through the window holes, armed with crossbows and curved blades. At this point, it became evident that this was a double event attack, at minimum. They'd have to split.
Demetrius: You three get at the gates as she said! I'll stay inside and ward off the intruders!
Just as he said that, one of those sand ponies came right at him, charging with sword in hooves, screaming in an incomprehensible language. Using his mechanical reflexes, the blade would be dodged with ease as he'd counter with a nasty elbow to the side of the head, sending him tumbling on his side, unconscious.
Demetrius: NOW!
The griffin knew better than to argue with him. For one, they didn't had time... secondly, Demetrius was often stubborn... but he had to admit that he rarely acted without thinking either. At this he'd nod as he'd look back at the two angels.
Gorudo: We'll do as he say!
He'd say at them then looking back at the pegasus.
Gorudo: Just try and... not die. I know it's asking a lot, but it'd be appreciated.
The golden griffon would say with a hint of sarcasm before running away with the two angels. At this Demetrius would just snort as he'd roll his eyes. How kind. Turning himself, he discovered that this hallway had only two more of these aggressors, guards had the numeral superiority here; they'd be able to deal with them with relative ease. As for the next hallway, up ahead on the left, the situation was obviously one-sided. Those sand pegasi were at least ten there, guards had already been killed and only two remained.
Acting immediately, he'd close his left eye as his right one began locking town targets, all of them. Raising his right arm, a small compartment would pop open as a small gatling-gun-like barrel would come out of it. With a single burst of three rounds, micro bullets would be sent flying and hitting targets, straight to the side of their heads.
The first three hostiles would only let out a small grunt as they'd drop dead on the floor. Taking the opportunity, without truly seeing what had just happened, the two remaining guards would run away, wounded and battered. The remaining seven enemies would come toward him, yelling. His arm still raised, his micro gatling gun would spin once more, going fully automatic as it brought them down with ease; none of them wore heavy armor... leather at most.
All of them dead, he'd carry on, taking the next turn. There, more civilians. Though, what mattered most to him right now were the two of those sand ponies about to pass judgement to all of them, sword raised and ready to strike; adult and children. Looking around, he'd grab hold of one of the dead guard's sword and throw it with dead accuracy, striking the bandit on the side of the head, the blade lodging itself there as he'd drop loose. As for the next one, he didn't even had time to turn around and raise his sword defensively that he was greeted with a hoof straight to the face; his sword literally snapping in two under the might of the blow, offering no resistance whatsoever as the limb connected with his cheek, pretty much demolishing his face and neck as he was sent flying and tumbling into a wall, dead as well.
Dropping he fighting posture, he'd turn around to finally take a better look at the group. Four fillies... and one pegasus. However, the more he stared at him, the wider his own eyes would get. Taking a sudden step back, his eyes would narrow as his head would shake briefly, trying to snap out of it.
This pegasus... He couldn't be...? No. The resemblance... It was uncanny for certain, but it wasn't it. It wasn't him.
Demetrius: I... uh...
He knew all this was but a fluke. But... it wasn't time to indulge in all of this again. Shaking his head, he'd try a take two on that.
Demetrius: H-hi? Are you okay?
Is pretty much all he'd manage to say, still glaring at him like a foal would at a giant lollipop despite his best efforts.
----Meanwhile----
The sand ponies had the idea of sealing each and every floor, isolating them and stopping anypony from going from one to another. Basically, they made quick work of barricading each and every staircases entry in the castle, staying behind tables and crates and statues, armed with loaded crossbows, shooting just about anypony foolish enough to try and come anywhere near them. There was about half a dozen of them behind that barricade of theirs... they were a the end of that hallway. Gorudo would peek around the corner, seeing two downed guards as well as one civilian, still alive with several bolts stuck in her hind legs.
Odds are those poor sots tried to save her but ended up dead trying. That injured maid was bait.
He'd then put his head back behind the wall before they'd spot his head and tell the two angels what he saw, keeping it short and simple.
Gorudo: Six of them holding up behind a barricade, armed with crossbows. Two casualties, one injured in the middle of the hallway.
He'd pause for a second before he'd carry on.
Gorudo: Those crossbows are pretty large compared to the regular ones we've seen so far... hopefully you two can stop those somehow so we can get to them? Otherwise I could take care of the defensive aspect I suppose... It just would be simpler and safer if we could all take care of our own selves.
He'd say in a matter-of-factly fashion.

Falina and Taka were following their two companions into the castle, listening to the orders given by the Princess. They had to go and secure the gate, getting rid of the enemy there. While focusing on the way they were going, Taka couldn't help but to think that their chase in the forest had something to do with this... Were they followed? Or was it just that Canterlot had always been the next target? Thinking some more, they seemed to have a big army... Simply being followed wouldn't make much sense.
Falina couldn't help but to think it was the fault of that strange pony who was looking at them before. As if being obsessed with him or her, her thoughts had a hard time to take him out of her mind. While on the run and thinking about this, she'd shake her head a little, wanting to put the focus on what was happening right now. Whoever was at fault... they'd work to stop him.
On their way they'd come across other ponies, both civilians and guards. Not much could be done about it, though. They were panicking, obviously. All of them running for their lives. Falina sure wished she could do something to help, but they'd keep running. Guards were already there for that, after all.
Moving on and getting further, at one moment the group was taken by surprise by a sudden explosion. This one had to be much more powerful than the two previous ones as it managed to shake the whole place and even make the two angels lose their balance because of it. All of this would be followed by a shockwave that would simply bring them both down on the floor. Taka would quickly recover and get back up on his hooves, looking by the window near them, eyes looking outside. As for Falina, once back up she'd sense something was gone... The magic shield which was protecting the castle had been blasted away by the previous explosion and it was confirmed by guards who were nearby. She'd look rather worried.
Taka would try to remain calm and started thinking while they were on a stop. Yet he'd be quickly taken out of his thoughts as a band of those Sand Ponies came through the windows, armed. Taka would only look at them, ready to defend himself and the others. The same went for Falina. They'd be ready to take care of them, yet Demetrius would say otherwise. Quickly Demetrius took care of one of them who hastily rushed at him before telling the three others to go and Gorudo agreeing with it. Falina couldn't just agree with this... she didn't want to risk losing an ally and would rather stay grouped. At that she'd put a hoof in front of her on the floor.
Falina : We can't let you alone!
She'd say. Taka wouldn't let that happen, though. He knew now wasn't the time to argue with this and be hesitant. They had to go and trust him, that's all. As he'd turn around, ready to go he'd simply grab Falina.
Taka : There's no time for this. Trust him! Now come along!
He'd say turning her in the direction they had to go and would gallop off with Gorudo. Falina looked one last time behind before finally follwing... She couldn't agree with them... but she had better be listening to them. It was three against one, she couldn't say much.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the corridor where they were, Jolly was still down to the same level as Violet, looking around. They didn't like the sound of things at all at the moment.... The Cutie Mark Crusaders were all together, looking around with their eyes wide opened, scared for their lives at this point. They didn't know where to go to hide, but being with Jolly right now seemed to be the best thing since he was an adult. He'd know what to do, right?
Yet another explosion would occur and shake the entire place, letting everyone scream in terror. This one was very loud and managed to throw them down as well.
Sweetie Belle : What was that?!
She'd yell in panic. Hearing the young filly Jolly would get up and walk closer to the three of them along with his niece who would follow right behind. He couldn't tell what was going on... but he'd try his best to protect them... yet thinking about it, probably that staying there wasn't much of a good idea either.
Jolly : … We have to get out of here.
He'd say looking around the place.
Jolly : Follow me!
And he'd turn around to run... but at that moment things would take a very bad turn. He didn't like what he was seeing, but he could tell what was happening... but from the look of it, he wondered if he'd even be able to tell anyone, even if they all knew. He wondered if he'd even be alive in the next two minutes. His eyes would progressively open wider as the sand ponies he was seeing were simply rushing onto them, ready to get rid of them. That was it... that was the end, right there. He wanted to stop them, but was unable to even control his body at the moment. He closed his eyes and was trembling, awaiting the blow...
This was almost the same for Violet. The young unicorn had seen them as well when her uncle stopped in his track. Unlike him she was ready to take on them, but had no weapon to use at her disposition... she wished she had her knives right now so she could use them. Having them would have given her much more confidence, but that wasn't the case unfortunately. Not much could be done and surely even if she would manage to flee or even land a blow, there was no guarantee of her own survival or the others. She'd do the same as her uncle at this point. Closing her eyes and awaiting, cringing and even letting a tear fall down... She didn't want things to end this way for any of them... And then...
As everything was going in slow motion for them, they could hear their own hearts beat. Jolly would hear a deaf scream from the fillies behind him as the Sand Ponies almost reached them... But what they'd hear next or feel next wouldn't be anyone screaming of terror or agony, nor would they feel blades cutting through them... They'd feel... nothing. No steel blade would touch them. They'd hear one of the two attackers grunt and fall and the other one was sent flying into the wall.
It took a moment, but Jolly would eventually open his eyes to look at what happened. He'd find himself facing another pegasus of a different color from the two who were attacking them. He looked taller as well and this dark blue color of his told Jolly right away that he wasn't one of them. He remained silent, breathing heavily, but quickly calming himself as well, lowering the breathing rather quickly to an almost normal rhythm. He'd eye the newcomer who was standing in front of him, unable to find an explanaible answer to the whole thing. He then heard him, but the therapist was too busy trying to figure out what happened, if he was even still alive. He'd take a look around with his eyes and would notice the two sand ponies dead on the floor, one with a sword in the head and the other slammed into a wall.
Violet had come back to her senses as well and was also looking up at a pony she had never seen before. Yet her feelings told her that he wasn't bad. The way he was looking at them told her that. He seemed rather nice when he asked if they were fine. The young unicorn would look up at her uncle before looking back at the blue pegasus.
Jolly would finally come back to him. It's just then that he realised that he was asked a question.
Jolly: Y-Yes... We're...
Again he'd look everywhere. At the dead sand ponies, at his niece, then at the three fillies behind who were all still hugging each other... That'd leave a bad mark... but they were all okay at least. He'd come back at Demetrius to finish his phrase.
Jolly: … fine.
He'd say and then let himself drop on the floor only to breath out a loud sigh. He was relieved that they were all still alive. They were saved. His head would raise to look again at the blue one in front of him. It's now that he would analyse him some. Just the way he spoke to them... his look... and his previous actions all showed that he was on their side. Again he'd sigh looking down and would raise his head again, seeming much calmer now.
Jolly: What's happening?... Are we really under attack?
This question seemed to be rather pointless. He already had his answer. It was more of a way to get the conversation started and to get himself informed on the things with more details if it was allowed. Or perhaps he could get a miracle answer and that it was all but a joke... but that was like hoping to win the lottery ten times in a row with pure luck.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rest of the group would eventually arrive before a hall. This one taken by the enemy. Then according to Gorudo two guards had perished and one pony remained... acting as bait. Being asked if they could take care of the defense, Taka would smirk.
Taka: Those things shouldn't be enough to stop us. Falina can very well take care of her side.
He'd say before looking in direction of the hall, losing his smirk.
Taka: … We'd need to protect the victim at the same time.
At that his sight would turn to his angel fellow. He'd point at her with his hoof.
Taka: Your magical abilities are greater than mine. You should be able to use it to protect the injured pony.
He'd tell her, and he knew her well. She'd simply nod at this... that said, they'd be ready to jump in. Taka would give a look at Gorudo, simply awaiting his signal to tell when he was ready.

It would take a little while for Demetrius to eventually snap out of it completely. So many memories were resurfacing now... He had learned not to push them back, to accept them, rather. But it still made his mind reel. Though, it was obvious that now was not the time to indulge in any of this. He'd take a better look at the young fillies that were all around him... his kids, maybe? Probably not given their colors... there was no mix of purple in any of them, or any tinge of blue mane... nor did they share any of his facial features. Yes, pretty wild guess, but that was his first impression. Three of them looked panicked, the fourth one a little less. Perhaps she had a little more guts than the others.
The dark pegasus would look up at the purple, glass-wearing one with his mechanical eyes, blinking a few times as they adjusted to him, he'd answer his question, coming back at the real situation at hooves.
Demetrius: I do believe we are a bit, sunshine!
He'd answer back with a nervous chuckle. Perhaps he might as well explain a bit of what was going on right now; a bit of context never hurt anypony.
Demetrius: A whole army just used a powerful teleportation spell in a premeditated assault. Long story short, we're trying to get citizens out of here... although I didn't say anypony else... I got this feeling Canterlot Castle altogether might be at lost; Celestia's army never saw this coming and is probably days from here! Her reserve are somewhere else altogether and scattered around the world.
Although nopony told him about this, that was common knowledge for the mechanical pegasus. He'd pause, taking a look around to make sure nopony was coming their way.
Demetrius: I'm not sure what the plan is... I don't think we can take them all on like we initially thought, but we have to move and get you and the fillies out of here!
Another rumbling would let itself feel, reminding him of how urgent and dire the situation was. However, before he'd be able to tell them to keep a move on, two groups of those sand ponies would come rushing in, this time however, from both ends of the corridors. About five of them on each side or so. They'd yell in their language while they'd point swords at them. The wanted them dead, obviously. They were armed with both swords and crossbow... and if they decided to fire right away, things would get nasty.
He had civilians with him... and children. He had tossed stones and punched enough ponies. This called for more drastic measures. He'd grit his teeth as he'd chose his next move.
Demetrius: All of you, stay back! Now!!
He'd then look on both sides again briefly... his eyes locking on most targets, figuring only a few would be enough to take care of them all at once. He'd then mutter to himself...
Demetrius: So much for my regular pegasus cover...
Reaching for his right wrist, he'd grab hold of it and twist it, same for his left. Once done, he'd pull on both of them at the same time as they'd come off from his forelegs. Coils riddled with what seemed to be missiles of various colors would erupt from there, following the hooves as they were stretched and stretched for a good five feet. Loose like lassos, they'd eventually straighten themselves.
This alone made the sand ponies stop dead in their tracks, wondering what the heck was going on. Though, before they'd have a chance to snap out of it, all the missiles would perk up, one after another... a good ten of them in total before they'd fire up. As they blasted away in a fire display of prismatic colors, the projectiles would gain in speed and velocity, whistling toward the sand ponies. Instinct taking over, they'd try and run away, but the missiles made quick work of catching up to them... and blowing up. Hard.
Several consecutive explosions would pretty much obliterate both groups... leaving them either blown to bits or just torn beyond any recognition, part of the floor walls and ceiling damaged as well. A sad sight indeed... but at this point it was either them or him and the others. Once that taken care off, he'd retract his coils as his wrists would clunk back into place, twisting and locking them there before giving them a few movements for testing, out of habit. He'd then turn around, looking a bit... shall we say... uneasy.
Demetrius: Yeah... Honestly I would've preferred you did not had to see... any of this. But listen, we have to keep moving...
And with that he'd start trotting in one direction, looking back at them.
Demetrius: You might want to ask them to look away... it's pretty nasty.
It really did stink that foals had to be around when he pulled out the big guns. Bloodshed was the last thing they needed to see, especially at this age.
------
Gorudo would look one last time at the scene. The civilian's life had to be protected at all cost; but it would be too easy for one of them to just shoot a bolt at her were they to try to assault the attackers first. They'd have to assure her well-being before taking care of them. Thing was, he was more axed on offense than defense. Though, he was not out of move on this one yet. He'd reach for his claws with his beak... and remove the fine golden cloth that was over them, tucking them away in a pouch after. Nothing too special at first glance... but what he'd do next, perhaps a bit more.
Grabbing hold of a small furniture piece, the whole thing would begin to turn into gold. Literally. Starting at the bottom, it would creep higher and higher until the whole thing would be nothing else but pure, solid gold. The wooden frame, the bolts, the cushions, the paint, everything. Then, with a lift of his right claw, he'd levitate the golden desk into the air and started shaping it like it was made out of molten liquid, forming a small rectangular wall out of it in mere seconds as it would re-solidify.
Gorudo: I'll put it in front of her so arrows won't get to her. The gold's thick enough to deflect anything they'd fire at her.
And with that, he'd fling the solid piece of gold the other side of the wall and toward the downed girl, slamming it to the ground in front of her. Immediately the sand ponies would open fire... only to find out that it was pointless to do so. Few of them had saved their shots, others were reloading.
Gorudo: Now! Take them out, I'll back you up!
--------
The three princesses had found out soon enough that things were far, far worst than they had anticipated. This was no mere assault, this was showing to be a cold, ruthless take over and complete wipeout. They never expected such force in such little time. What little military power they had in the areas wouldn't be enough to counter them effectively. They'd have to evacuate. Canterlot was at lost. But they wouldn't fret. This was but a castle; without the royal sisters' unique magic, nothing was worth of capture in here; they had thought ahead on that one millenniums ago.
Everypony would be gathered at the dinning halls, as well as all remaining forces... they would stand ground there until they'd manage truly valuable and important items from their secret vault. Once that done, they'd head back there and teleport them all out of there. The rest of the elements had been sent there safely as well... However, Pinkie Pie was still missing. Then, there was the brave four warriors she had sent to the main entry... it's only now that she'd regret her act. She had informed as many guards as she could to find them and issued them an order to fall back. Hopefully one of them would get there in time...

Sunshine? Well, this pony sure was at ease with words and looked very friendly as well given that he'd call a pegasus he just met ''Sunshine''. Jolly remained still as he'd listen to him for the next part. To think that in the morning things were going... well, fine compared to this situation. Ponyville was taken over by them, but at least no one died from it. This right there was on a totally different level and that was something the purple pegasus had never expected. It was scary... truly. Jolly Thinker wasn't a pony of war or anything. He was just a regular therapist who was working to help others find solutions to their problems. Through that he was trying to take care of a child, calling himself an uncle to her. Just a regular life, what.
He'd look at the fellow pegasus in front of him with eyes of worries, his hooves automatically getting around Violet as to bring her closer to him in a protective manner. The filly wouldn't oppose herself to it as she also listened and pretty much felt the same as her uncle, although she had a hard time understanding how that was happening, why that was happening. One thing for sure... right now, they were not safe and the dark blue pony was there to take get them out of the castle to bring them to safety.
At his next words, Jolly would snap out of it. The tone of the voice the tall pony used was enough to remind him that he had to escape with him and the four girls. So he got back up rather quickly, doing the best he could to control his fears at the moment... It was helping that things were quiet right now... or so it would have helped if things were to be kept that way. As a noise would make itself heard, Jolly and Violet would look left and right as sand ponies would appear again, this time being in bigger numbers. Just when Jolly thought things would be fine for a while, they seemed to have gotten worse in no time.
Jolly : T-There's more of them!
He'd panic. He had no means to defend himself... and he had no idea if the dark blue pegasus could do anything about them. They were outnumbered, so how could they even escape now? A few minutes ago he thought this was the end for him and the others... now he thought it was the same thing again, being unable to see a way to flee or take them out. He'd look left and right, backing off some with his niece who would also try to find a way to do something...
The swords from the last sand ponies! Surely she could use this as a weapon, but could she even manage to do anything against ten of them? She'd hold her thoughts on it thinking it was useless... but things wouldn't go as planned for the invaders. When the tall pegasus gave his command, everyone did as he said, Jolly setting himself down and covering himself with his hooves and Violet under his wings along with the three others who joined in as Jolly motionned and told them to.
The next actions taken would again make Jolly's eyes go wide in surprise and confusion for what he was seeing was beyond what he could even imagine while the fillies were covering their eyes and ears. Right before him, the pony who had just saved their lives was going to do it again in a way he had never seen before and which he wouldn't get out of his mind anytime soon. It was as if their savior was not even real. Parts of him would open and it looked like... metal. As if he was made, like parts were added to him. Had something happened to him that he had to be like that? Well, if he wanted to ask questions, he would ask them later for now wasn't the time at all. Still, the surprise wouldn't stop there. Jolly kept looking as he couldn't even look away only to have his eyes on what seemed to be strange projectiles, again something he had never seen before. Once all ready they would fire away and aim for the sand ponies, who would try to run for their lives, but in vain... multiple explosions occured and none would survive this one. Screams from the fillies would be heard and Jolly's face of worries and surprise wouldn't change. Actually, he'd even stay there for several seconds, just looking at the whole mess that was done. In his mind he was trying to figure out again if this was real or not, because this was truly surreal.
He'd jump a little when he heard the voice of the dark blue pegasus again. Jolly turned his head and looked at him again for a few seconds. Somehow, just the way he was looked at made him calm himself some. The more he'd stare at him, the more he'd get to calm himself and end this all with another long sigh with his head dropping. Yet as he said... they had to keep moving.
Jolly : Yeah... we have to...
He'd reply back to him, frowning at the situation. Taking a few seconds, he would get up and look up front. At this moment he had decided that he would get out of there with his niece and the three others. Speaking of which, the girls were still all so close to each other. Jolly would turn to them all, looking at them. Violet would obviously look back at him, believing that things were okay now, although she hadn't really seen the mess yet. About to tell them something, he would turn his head to look at the pegasus trotting away, remembering something.
Jolly : Hold on! There is one more of us who needs to be taken out!
At that he would then look back at the foals.
Jolly : Girls, keep your eyes closed for now.
He'd simply tell them and the Cutie Mark Crusaders wouldn't fight against that order. Jolly looked up in front of him. His room sure didn't have him and Violet in it anymore, but before the invasion he was busy with somepony else. He'd walk there and look inside. Instantly his eyes would fall on Pinkie Pie who was there in a corner, curled into a ball... frozen. All of his work was for naught, obviously, but that wasn't the important part. They had to get her out of there as well. At that he would cautiously approach her and once close enough, he'd get to her height looking straight at her.
Jolly : Pinkie Pie... We're getting out of here. We'll be escorted to safety. Please follow us.
He'd tell her gently and lending out his hoof as well, ready to help her get up and walk.
------------------------------
Both angels were ready to take action, simply awaiting for Gorudo to give them the green light. Taka being focused on when to jump and Falina looking at Gorudo make his first move, which would surprise her rather much. It was something she had never witnessed before... The furniture that Gorudo was touching right now was literally turning to gold... after what he would even mold it into something else. Seeing that it was taking some time, Taka would also take a look at what was happening. Unlike his friend, though, he wouldn't look so impressed... Sure, it was something new to him, but if anything he learned to not question others' abilities in situations like this. He was an angel, after all... one who came back from the deads. Right now, whatever he was doing was useful and helpful. That's what he really needed. Hearing the griffon, he'd look back in front of him and nodded, approving of the idea. Falina would get back to it as well after snapping out of it and finding her focus back on the plan.
Once the gold furniture thrown, bolts would be fired and stopped by it, protecting the mare. It was also the signal to attack. At that, the two of them would throw themselves in, each taking a side to lesser the shots that would be fired at them. Immediately Falina had made her spear appear and didn't wait to throw it at one of the enemies who could still fire. The sand pony didn't even have the time to react that the only thing he saw coming was a spear, and it was coming fast. The weapon would impale him through the heart, leaving him no chance of survival and the spear would get retracted back by Falina's string of light. While others were trying to reload with haste, the remaining few would fire their shots. Taka knowing they would do that would make use of a statue in the hall to pass behind and so deflect the shots. Appearing on the other side he'd dash straight to them with Falina to back him up. Using his own magic, he'd increase his speed to get there faster. Much faster. Once at a fair distance he'd lift himself from the ground to leap on their side and would deliver one of his best straight punches into the face of the one who would be unfortunate enough to be facing him. That solid punch thrown, the sand pony hit by it would be sent flying back, bouncing a few times before stopping there, unconscious and unable to fight anymore.
Now that he was right with them, he couldn't take a break yet. The four remaining sand ponies would take out their swords to engage in melee combat. Immediately Taka would take one of the crossbows which fell on the ground and block the incoming first sword meant to slice him down. Holding himself against this one pony, him pushing down on the crossbow with his blade, the angel would slightly remove the crossbow, letting his opponent lose his balance on this one only to come pushing back with the projectile shooter with the speed spell he had cast on himself a little before. The pony would be off balance and Taka would use this opportunity to hit him with a punch in the stomach. Next he'd crouch to avoid another sword coming at him from one of the others, having seen it coming. As a reply to this he'd kick his legs to trip him. Obviously the others were going to try and stop him, but one of them who was still up would get impaled next by Falina's spear who was behind them. Again the weapon would be retracted back by the light string, letting the enemy fall down and Falina came charging in to put her spear through the one remaining pony who was still intact, leaving him dead as well. Meanwhile taka could take care of the other one while Falina would finish up the one who had been tripped.
To end things, Taka would come back to the pony hurt in the stomach. He had dropped his sword. The angel fighter would simply grab the head of this one and use all of his strenght to drag him and hit his opponent's head on the wall with enough speed to crack the wall. At that the last pony would fall down, dead from the blow.
This was it for this place, really. The two angels looked around to see if more were there, but it seemed like there wasn't. They'd get out of the barricade, Taka motionning to Falina to go to the injured pony, which she'd do while her companion would go back to Gorudo.
Taka : The place is cleared. Now unless we have someone else to escort this lady, we pretty much will have to give her protection. Thing is... we're supposed to aim for the gate and push the enemy back.
He'd tell him with a fling of his mane at the front, always hiding his left eye.

At the pegasus' request, Demetrius would stop dead in his tracks, almost cringing at the mention of somepony else being there back in that room he was desperately trying to leave behind. He'd look back and eye the purple pegasus rush back in... By instinct he'd follow, staying behind. It didn't take long for his sight to fall on the pink pony... curled up in a ball, not saying a word... nor moving a muscle. Even her eyes were frozen stiff. He knew that all too well.
Demetrius: She's in shock. Deep shock.
He'd move next to the pegasus, politely pushing him aside as he'd grab hold of the pink pony. He'd lift her and put her on his back. She wouldn't even flinch, not even a sound. Once she'd be well installed in-between his wings, he'd turn around and leave the room, urging the others to follow. They really had to get a move on.
However, he'd need to figure out where to take those civilians... If the castle was surrounded, odds were that they'd have to sneak their way out as smoothly as possible... but not before he'd call back his comrades from the frontline, they probably weren't aware of the sheer size of things; they were most-likely running to their doom... but then again, he knew that they'd know better than just follow an order to their death, they'd retreat giving things would become too harsh.
-------
While Gorudo would be busy protecting the mare, the angels would make quick work of those sand ponies. Lot quicker that he ever hoped for. So much for the better, he supposed, not even the need to lift a single feather. Though, even with those down, this would only be the beginning of their issues; now they had a wounded to take care of. She had a bolt up her hind leg, which made movements nearly impossible for her... she'd be an easy target and she'd slow them down.
Gorudo: This is quite the predicament I would've rather not have fallen into... But there seem to be no guards around. In fact, I think all of them are holding those sand ponies from getting in already. I will have to escort her back myself... otherwise we're killing her, either she's following us or staying behind.
The mare would look up at the griffin, trying to force a smile as she'd whimper in pain. He'd grab the bolt stuck in her, transform it into gold and pull it out, making the head of the arrow narrow down into a smooth shaft. Tossing it away, he'd put back his gloves before he'd rip out a piece of cloth and tie it tight around the wound to stop the bleeding... good enough until she could get proper help.
Gorudo: The situation for this castle looks grim to me... but I won't hold you back if you two wish to carry on wi-
Though, before he'd have to finish what he had to say, somepony else would shop up at one end of the corridor... a sand pony, not wearing any armor, but wielding a blood-tainted sword nontheless. An earth pony, wearing a white jacket with survival gear here and there... he looked battered as well as exausted. Yet, he'd point at them with his sword still.
????: H-hey! You over there... did... haa... whew! Did... hold on, who the heck are you?
His eyes would narrow as he'd take a better look at them... The more he'd stare, the less things would make sense, however. Two alicorns... with what seemed to be halos floating above their heads... and one griffin with a plumage worth more than Celestia's tush. He'd be given a completely clueless face, remaining silent, unable to make sense of what he was seeing.
????: Uhh...
Little did he know, however, given his sword and general look, those three would most-likely be tempted to take care of him just like they did with the previous group of dead gentlepony behind them, laying motionless over barrels and broken furniture.

Jolly realised shortly after that talking to her was of no use. She was too shocked to do anything. He acted by instinct here. Adressing others at first was rather what he'd do first before anything else. He removed his hoof and the dark blue pegasus would show up, stating what he noticed too. The therapist didn't have anything to say or add to that and he'd be gently pushed away. He'd follow the movements to get a short distance and would watch his savior grab the pink pony to put her on his back, being held between his large wings. After what it was now time to get out and leave the place... no more time to waste now. Everything that had to be done here was done. They only needed to follow.
Jolly Thinker stepped outside of the room and went back to the fillies on the ground, Violet watching over them while the three would still have their eyes closed. He'd get to their levels.
Jolly : Girls, it's time to leave.
As he'd say that, the four of them would all look at him. While Violet seemed to be the calmest of them all, the three others had fear in their eyes. One of them would speak up.
Sweetie Belle : … Are we going to die?...
She'd ask of a small and trembling voice. The pegasus looked behind him at the blue pegasus and then back at her, smiling. He'd shake his head to give an answer.
Jolly : No. We're in good hooves now. We'll be protected.
After that his smile would disappear, letting place to a more serious look.
Jolly : Now... All of you will follow me. I want you all to keep your eyes on me. Never look away from me, understand?
He'd speak out. The four foals nodded slowly. Having their understanding now, he would get up and turn around, starting to follow his new companion. The mess around them was far from being a pretty sight, and although it was rather painful to see, Jolly was able to control himself on this one. Nothing could be reverted here and it took that for them to be alive. He'd be able to get through that.
As said, the four fillies would start to follow as well, keeping their eyes on Jolly. They'd stay close to him and close to each others as well. Only Violet would decide to come next to him instead, having her eyes set on their savior instead.
Violet : Uncle?... Who is he?... And what is he, exactly?
She'd ask of a whisper, looking up at her purple uncle as she asked her question refering to what happened earlier when he sent out all of those explosive projectiles. Without really looking away, Jolly would answer in the same whisper.
Jolly : We've never met before, Violet... I think all you need to know for now is that he's here to help us. We'll have more time to talk later on... for now make sure to follow, okay?
Violet would give him a nod and an ''okay'' before looking in front of her again, much curious about who he was... and what as well.

The two angels listened to what Gorudo had to say... Taka would look away thoughtful while listening... just as he feared too. Their number was also diminishing. This would make things a lot tougher for them if they were only two. Sure, they could manage to take on small groups like that without any problems, but they'd just end up exhausted if things went on like this until the end. Their chances to succeed and stay alive would simply lower.
And before he could even say anything, they were all interrupted as somepony else decided to show up. Taka and Falina would both look at that new pony coming... and just by looking at him, they'd frown... Falina would ready herself with her spear. She'd be ready to bounce at any time and be done with it, but Taka thought otherwise. He found his behavior to be different from all the other sand ponies they met so far. Yet that sword... his coat's color
Taka: … Who are you? What is a pony like you doing all by himself?
He'd ask him, turning himself completely towards him. He'd be ready to make a move if this one wanted to try anything funny and he'd make sure to make it one hit as well... but he still couldn't help but to think something was off with him. He looked like he could take on someone, but at the same time he was being different from them. Not to add that he looked exhausted as well. This didn't help the guy.

Josiah would eventually snap out of it... looking over the fact two of them seemed to be holy alicorns of a sort... and another one being literally made out of gold or whatever. It was hard to look pass such things, but if it was a fight they wanted, they'd get it. Josiah Shazeb had his fair share of fights and battles in his life... with odds often even worst than this.
????: Ohhhoho... so you wana do it the hard way, huh?
He'd say, smirking, as he'd begin analyzing them. His eyes trying to catch glimpse of anything particular; one of them had a spear... a nasty-looking one at that too, probably magical as well. The two others didn't seem to be wielding any weapons, probably close combat specialists.
He'd take few deep breaths, regaining a regular heartbeat soon enough, juggling with his saber in his right hoof. Standing on hind legs, his left hoof, meanwhile, would slowly begin to reach for the back of his belt... he was hiding something under his white jacket that would come in real handy in these sort of situations. He rarely used it, but this seemed like one of those special cases... His eyes would fall on the golden griffin, then on the spear-wielding one... then on the other. He'd take them out in this order. Or at least, that was the plan.
His eyes would then quickly take a look of his surroundings... he needed an escape route were things to turn nasty. The windows seemed like his best bet, go outside, climb on the walls and perhaps go on an other floor and lose them there.
However, before he'd have the time to put any of his plans into motion, his sight would fall on the injured maid one of them was holding... as well as all the dead sand ponies that littered the floor behind them. They weren't one of them for sure. To this he'd relax, but just to make sure he wasn't dealing with some rogues, he'd still attempt further dialogue.
????: Right... the more I look at you guys, the more I think we -may- be on the same side.
Lowering his saber and stopping to reach for whatever he was hiding behind his back, he'd still keep an eye out for them. He didn't exactly trust them, nor did he feel like telling them he was holding onto something very precious.
????: If you want those guys dead...
He'd say, pointing at those lifeless corpses behind them with his saber.
????: Then maaayyybe we can help each other out of this mess. 'Cuz I just came back from downstairs; the main door's been rammed down and they've completely taking over... we're fighting a losing battle! I'm basically trying to find a way out of this mess! Maybe if we stick together we might have a better chance.
To this, Gorudo would look back at the angels, the injured maid and then back at the sand pony.
Gorudo: Then it is as I feared... we must find Demetrius at once...
At this the sand pony would raise an eyebrow.
????: And who's that?
Gorudo: A good friend of mine... and in your case, a powerful ally. He still must be on this floor. If we hurry, we may just be able to find him!

Seeing the sand pony act as he was doing trying to reach something in his back, Falina kept her position, truly on the point of simply pinning him down and disabling a few limbs if she had to. Taka would simply watch him do, still thinking about how this pony was behaving previously... and just as he thought, he wasn't like them... or at least for the moment he proved to be completely different.
They'd hear him talk some more about the castle's situation right now. At that Taka's eyes would widen some only to change into a frown. Quickly he'd look where Falina was and would motion her to lower her weapon. She'd take a second, but so far she's been trusting him quite a lot as well as Gorudo... She'd do as he wanted and would let the weapon disappear to take a normal position again. Taka would come back to this pony, then would look at Gorudo who briefly looked at them as well.
Things weren't looking good at all... if the sand pony right there was right, and if he truly was on the same side as them, then going any further would prove to be pointless... and most likely too risky as well. Just as Gorudo said, they'd need to find Demetrius.
Taka : Let's get going then! The faster we reunite with him, the better things will be for us.
He'd say. Before he'd go, Falina would call him out. The two of them would look at each others and... silence. They wouldn't say anything, but in the end Falina would nod at him. They had used telepathy. The male angel would turn around once more, looking at the way they came from... they'd have to go from there again since Demetrius went the other way... and in the other direction, they would most likely simply meet with more of the enemy. Now before moving, Taka would take a look at who was supposed to be their new ally. He'd begin to trot towards where they had to go, passing by him.
Taka : While we're at it, mind telling us your name as well as the reason you're here?
He'd ask him on the way.
Taka : No offense, but you don't seem to be from here... and your appearance could mistaken you for one of them as well.

Right, so they'd be willing to help... but not without having to save somepony else. Plus, there was this mare right here who wasn't looking very well. Everything right now seemed like they'd be slowing things down for him; he'd be a lot better off were he just to keep going on his own and keep it to his plan on finding that certain path of his. Yes, he had a plan. It happened from time to times. Though, his good side also told him he couldn't just... run away and leave all these ponies left for dead. That... stupid angel on his right should gaining the best of him. Those two weirdos with halos probably had something to do with that.
What WERE they anyway? Probably unicorns fooling around with magic. As for the griffon... paint? Who knows, who cares, whatever. Once they'd be done talking, they'd eventually get a move on through those corridors. Josiah would be following Gorudo who'd take the lead, wounded mare on his back. He seemed to know which way to take in order to find his friend.
However, luck would finally take a turn for the best for the adventurer as a dark blue pegasus wearing some sort of monk outfit, similar to the griffin's, would come right around the corner. Was this that elusive "ally" of theirs they were looking for? Good, now they could get a move o- Where those foals following him, right behind that other purple pegasus?
Josiah: Great...
He'd mutter... however, it wouldn't take long for him to recognize those that followed said pegasus monk. He helped them earlier back in ponyville... but that didn't made things any better... now they had one wounded, kids, a civilian... and... hold on... who was that blue pegasus carrying on his back? His eyes would squint as he'd try to take a better look, though, once he'd realize what it was all about, he'd deadpan.
Josiah: Perfect. Really.
That pink pony was still in a pitiful mental condition. Might as well be crippled that it would've been just as worst given the situation they were in. Anyway, better get a move on right now if they wanted to have a chance to get out of there alive.
Demetrius: Well! Seems like we're re-united. That soloing was rather short-lived, I'll admit, but I managed to find those ponies!
He'd say, gesturing in their general direction. Josias would shake his head. This was great and all... but that had to get moving!
Josiah: Yep, okay, touching reunion, very good. Now we'll be going, okay? Right now, chop chop! I might just know a way out of this mess and if we wait any longer, we might just get fucked over.
He'd pause for a second and look at the foals.
Josiah: Yes, I said a bad word. You'll learn them in time anyway, just like anypony else.
His head would then snap toward the angels, at this point getting rather irritated.
Josiah: I'm sorry, but I'm not the one having to present myself, nor explain anything to you given the both of you are alicorns with damn halos floating above your heads!
He'd shout, at this point having had just about enough. He'd get a move on in one direction... at this point damn hoping all of them would just shut up and follow him. Otherwise, he'd just leave them behind. He had reached a point were all this... accumulated fatigue, wounds, bruises, hunger, thirst, lack of general rest and decent hygiene was really getting up to him. Then, just like that, one random left-over sand pony would come popping out of nowhere at the end of the corridor.
Immediately he'd notice the foals, the purple and dark blue pegasus and the whole rest. He'd point his sword at them.
Sand pony: INFIDE-*BANG!*
Not even slowing down, Josiah kept a move on... now holding that thing he almost pulled out on the angels. His revolver. He rarely used it, ammo being hard to find... but now he didn't felt like arguing nor struggling anymore. He'd put it away in his hostler for the time being, the sand pony dead on the ground, a bleeding hole right in the middle of his forehead.
Demetrius would chuckle at the sudden display of general anger.
Demetrius: Ooookay? So we're following him, right? Yep. Yeah I think we'll do that.
He'd get closer to Josiah, wanting to ask him something.
Demetrius: So... where are we going exactly?
Josiah wouldn't even turn around, determined. But still, he'd at least satisfy their curiosity.
Josiah: I know an old smuggling route in the castle's foundations that might just get us out of here, fast and smooth. It's been a while since it haven't been used, last of my knowledge. But it still should be there...

They kept on following the dark blue pegasus through the corridors of the castle in search for a safe exit. The therapist looked behind him more than a few times just to check on the fillies following him and on Violet as well who remained next to him. Unlike the three others she was able to take more than them... but still, she hated to see others being hurt, so she did avoid looking all around just like the others. She focused on their savior instead.
The cutie mark crusaders seemed to be taking care of themselves, whispering to each others to listen to what the purple one with glasses said before. Of course they were curious to look around, but given the situation they were all in, they prefered to listen as much as possible. From time to time one of them would want to look away, but would be held back by one of the others. It's at times like this that Jolly would look behind to see if things were all right. Just by looking at them... for the most they were doing fine, that's what he could tell at least.
He'd look back in front of him at his new ally once more... he had no answer yet on who this individual was or even... what he was exactly, for there was a different aspect of him that made him so, but one thing was sure, though... he was a friend and there to help. No matter who he was, he was glad. He wouldn't stop being surprised just yet, though...
The small group made of civilians would end up meeting with another group... Jolly at first glance would stop on place and even back away slightly, but quickly he'd stop everything. He looked unsure as he saw those two beings having halos over their heads and... were they alicorns? They had a horn and wings on them and both of them had the same color of coat as well. What could they be?... Although being alicorns, they looked different as well. Next one who would catch his sight was this griffin. This plumage of his was... Was that really gold he was seeing? His eyes would be wide opened at this point, wondering where he was exactly now and what he was doing. All of this looked surreal. Never would he have thought he would meet with beings like these... nor did he even thought they would exist. He had heard stories and fairy tales in his youth with legendary ponies, griffins or even monsters, but to actually see something so out of the ordinary for him... that was being too much now. Yet his sight would shift to the last one there... and this one he would be able to recognise. At that he'd let out a sigh of relief. Finally somepony he was familiar with... but he didn't look so rejoiced with the whole thing.
As for Violet... her jaw had dropped at this point with all the ponies as well as the griffin that she was seeing. This was more than she could handle and she had to admit... these white alicorns as well as this griffin were looking splendid, it's as if light itself was shinning upon everyone at the moment. The cutie mark crusaders behind them all wondered why they had stopped.
Scootaloo: Hey, why are we stopping?...
The young orange pegasus would ask her two other friends. They both had no idea of what was going on and so to satisfy their curiosity they decided to get a move on and advance a little, just to see what this was all about. They could hear the adults speaking and it didn't sound like they were all bad, but they would act just the same as Violet there, all their eyes on everypony else, too impressed by who they were looking at. Heck, when Josiah spoke this bad word, they wouldn't even be fazed by it... Anyway, it's not like they would care about learning a new word right now. They just wanted to be home or somewhere safe where no explosions would occur.
The angels were happy to see Demetrius arrive. Finding him wasn't so hard in the end. Relieved, Taka would smirk at Demetrius' comeback and hey! He had just saved more ponies too apparently. Although who they were mattered some to him. He'd lose his smile as he'd lay his eyes mostly on the children there. He'd be brought back to reality rather quickly, though. Josiah seemed to have decided to lose it after him after what he said before apparently. Taka looked at him then and in the end simply rolled his eyes once this one turned around.
Taka: We're angels, thank you.
He'd simply say. Seemed like some ponies here had never heard about angels before, but honestly it didn't matter much right now. As for Falina, she was starting to not like this pony much. She'd get closer to Taka, almost about to pass by him, but he'd stop her, simply shaking his head slightly to tell her it was of no use to do anything right now. Falina nodded and backed away then. Then right after, they'd hear a loud BANG as well as sudden screams coming from the fillies while Jolly had ducked. Taka would instantly look where this came from, ready to do something, but would notice that this was done by Josiah himself... on a sand pony who had appeared behind Demetrius' group. Taka would take the time to look at that weapon the adventurer was holding and would watch him put it away and remember just a while back. He'd frown some at the sight of this weapon... so that's what he was about to take out on them before. It looked rather deadly... he sure didn't want to eat one of those projectiles in the face.
Now another sand pony down, they'd finally get a move on. Jolly would start to advance after the fillies and himself had recovered from the revolver's loud and sudden sound. Same for the two angels... especially Taka who would take sides with the therapist and the kids. Jolly would briefly look at him before looking forward again, hoping he hadn't been noticed, but alas it had failed. Taka would let out a chuckle at this.
Taka: Angels aren't very common, right?
He'd say, obviously joking on that as the world wasn't filled with the holy ones.
Jolly: W-well... Let's just say that we're in a situation that's not very common at all...
The therapist would say to defend himself a little.
Taka: I guess you're right!
He'd answer and take it a bit more seriously.
Taka: But don't you worry. You'll all be out of here safely. With all of us around I doubt anything bad will happen. Just don't be too surprised if anything happens, really... Leave the questions for later, once we're out of this mess.
Jolly would look back up at him already feeling he could trust him... they were angels, right? If so, then yes, they would protect them. If he understood well, they were being escorted by a bunch of warriors or something like that and if one of them was able to take out a bunch of soldiers in one attack... then four of them would surely assure them a victory, right? Yes, they'd be safe. That's what he was telling himself. Right now him and the fillies had two angels around them, a golden griffin and up at the front was the one who saved them earlier as well as Josiah who seemed to know where to go. They'd be safe.
